I normally go to the location in Dyer. I decided to go to this location twice. Once last week and again today just to be sure I was not misjudging what had occurred the first time. Both times I went I noticed it is predominantly White (staff and customers) which is no issue for me. I am Black. So when my ice cream was being made I noticed it didn’t fill the cup at all. The ice-cream was under the brim of the cup ( I got the size “gotta have it” ) I asked him if he can put more in and he didn’t acknowledge me he just did it but slapped it in the cup and didn’t mix my add ins well at all. I get to the counter , and my cup was placed on the counter with no bag or no spoon like he did for everyone else ( who so happened to be White). I asked for a bag and he placed the bag on the counter and didn’t place my items or a spoon in the actual bag that I asked for. So of course I did it myself. Today was the same exact instance. The white customers were given a bag and their cups were filled yet again mine was made under the rim of the cup and yet again I had to ASK for a bag and spoon. Apparently you have to be of Caucasian decent to get what you are paying for and mind you Majority of them are straight out of high school! This is sad and I hope someone sees this review and correct their actions. I don’t recommend this location at all!

INITIAL REVIEW BEFORE 2 YEARS OLD
I’m going to have to downgrade my review to 2 stars, and even that’s being generous. I placed an online order an hour in advance to be picked up at 6:45pm and upon arrival exactly at the time stated I still had to wait 10 minutes or until after all the customers in the lobby were taken care of to include someone that came in after me who was handed their online order right away. I don’t want to play the race card, but the employees were young Caucasians and reality is reality. Everyone had their orders handed to them, but mine was sat on top of the counter by an unfriendly young Caucasian girl who called my name to advise me my order was ready after she had already walked away. My ice cream containers were dirty, wet, and sticky, and I needed to wipe them off with a rag before putting it in the freezer. I didn’t receive my 2nd waffle bowl that I ordered, and I paid a tip in advance, of which I’ll never do it again. They’ll have to earn that tip from now on if I return. I paid $35 & now I don’t even want the ice cream. Horrible customer service horrible experience this time. And to think of all the views my initial review received and the business I’ve stirred their way from it.

It was my first time going today, and I was pleasantly delighted and overwhelmed with the caramel crunch in the bowl. I added and fudge to it, and I had to make a mad dash before it melted all over me, but it was absolutely delicious! I recommend paying them a visit.

Definitely not worth the time or the money. This sad soupy representation of ice cream Definitely not worth over 6 dollars or the over 10 minutes of wait with almost no one in there. I think from now on I’d rather give sonic or one of the other local ice cream spots my business. This is pure trash.

They had 4 people working behind the counter. The cashier was making something and ignored two people at the counter including me. I got home and one quart was completely melted and the other was literally freezer burnt and soft crunchy. We live 15 minutes away and the ac was on the whole time.

I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN AND WAS TREATED EXCEPTIONALLY WELL AT THIS LOCATION TODAY.
THE PLACE WAS CLEAN THE MANAGER WHO NAME WAS CAROLYN TREATED ME WITH THE UPMOST RESPECT. SHE WAS INFORMATIVE ABOUT THE PRODUCT BEING THE FACT IT WAS MY FIRST TIME TRYING SCC. HONESTLY MY SECOND TIME, MY FIRST TIME WAS IN LINCOLN NEBRASKA BACK IN 2015 A CO WORKED LOVED CSC. SO SHE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND I LOVED THE FACT CSC HAS EXPANDED THEIR BRAND. THE CHOCOLATES (ALSO HAVE ALL KINDS OF BIG TAFFY APPLES, ICE CREAM CAKES, ICE CREAM TREATS) ARE DELICIOUS AND THE BUTTER FINGER ICE CREAM HAD PLENTY OF FLAVOR. A LITTLE PRICEY UNLIKE THE COMPETITION BR BUT STILL WAS TASTEFUL ALL THE SAME. I don’t know if it is a race issue or customer service issue but they need a training session at this location ASAP! Several times I’ve been to this location and stood at the counter without any other customers in the store and was not greeted or acknowledged for several minutes. There was even a manager there tonight and she looked me dead in my eyes and didn’t ask if I needed help or instruct any of her employees to help me. There were at least 5 employees working. Not one asked if they could help or say I’ll be with you in a minute. I started doing a count of employees and then I was acknowledged or I would probably still be standing there. I’m going to start going to Dyer.

They were supposed to sing a little jingle when I tipped and I tipped five dollars and they wouldn’t even sing the jingle. I asked them about it and they said no! Cold Stone needs to implement cake storage instructions for certain people. Apparently the cake looked like a traditional cake it can fool people. Like McDonalds had to display caution hot all over the coffee cups. These cakes need to say keep frozen big and bold. Because your cake can look like this submitted picture, left in the care of people who dont understand the concept of ice cream cake. But reguardless of the improper storage, the cake was excellent.

Went for hubby’s bday. They do not disappoint! Had the banana caramel with walnuts and asked for half banana and half cheesecake icecream. Delicious! The combinations are plentiful. Service with a smile and great atmosphere. Coldstone, get cheesecake chunks! This would’ve made my dessert a dream!!
