Hitting up Cold Stone at 8:30 p.m. when it is 28 degrees outside is not for the weak or the sensible. But for my family, this is peak decision making.
Somehow, this place restored my faith in what a “like it” is supposed to look like. I ordered the cheesecake specialty on a waffle cone and it absolutely understood the assignment. Creamy, sweet, and heavy enough to make you affirm your life choices in the best possible way.
Portion sizes were generous, like they actually want you to be happy, and service was quick even though common sense said everyone should have been home wrapped in blankets. Instead, we were standing outside eating ice cream in freezing weather, smiling like lunatics.
10 out of 10. Would absolutely freeze again for this.

Very rich ice cream, but the service leaves much to be desired.
The ice cream is delicious and very rich in flavor, but unfortunately the customer service is consistently disappointing. The staff always seem to be in a bad mood and not very welcoming. I really wish they had a better attitude—it would make the experience much more enjoyable.

Two weeks to Aug. 27th, 2022, I walked into ColdStone in Burlington, NC and ordered a large rectangular Rainbow Sprinkle Road cake for my son’s birthday and a small round Strawberry Passion cake for my husband’s birthday as well. When I went to pick up the cakes from the store, I was shocked and disappointed. They looked horrible, recklessly decorated and disgusting. The box was dirty.
My party was a few hours away.
When I complained about it to the lady who attended to me, that she kept saying she wasn’t the one who made it. How could I present these to my guest? I had already paid for them (about $86) at the time of ordering. This was a very terrible moment for me. My heart was really broken by this experience.
I’m extremely disappointed being my first-time ordering cakes from this store. These pictures speak for themselves.

During one of my DoorDash pick-up orders, I stopped by Cold Stone Creamery and was met with exceptional customer service. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming, even though the store was bustling with a bus full of student-athletes at the time.
Despite the chaos, the team managed to handle everything with professionalism and efficiency. They greeted me promptly, quickly prepared my order, and ensured that everyone—customers picking up and those ordering in-store—was taken care of.

I recently took my children here during the mask wearing rule. We all followed the rule however a separate group came in without masks. When they were advised by the employees that they needed masks to be inside. The group was verbally rude to the cold stone crew. This did not shake up the staff as they went outside of the store and took the groups order. They staff was extremely friendly the whole time in dealing with the unmasked group. The staff was also great in dealing with my children and their slow decision making process. I was very impressed and I will be back. Whoever said chick-fil-a has the best service has clearly never been to this cold stone creamery.

I didn’t realize that $8 cookie dough ice cream could be served without cookie dough until I came here. When I asked “where’s the cookie dough?” They said that was extra. Then I asked what kind of ice cream I was holding. They said it was cookie dough ice cream… without the cookie dough. I don’t know if I have to report this to Cold Stone, the alamance county school system, or the united nations. For now, Google will do.

My wife used doordash to place an order here. I ordered apple pie a la mode with Graham cracker crust, cinnamon, caramel, and whipped topping. 30 some dollar order for 2 ice creams. Instead of Graham cracker crust walnuts were used. Thank god i gave my son the first bite. Chock full of walnuts that im allergic to. They forgot my wifes waffle bowl. Call the store n the young lady says sorry nothing i can do. Contact doordash. Doordash says nothing they can do so basically an ice cream i cant eat for 13.00 n my wife doesn’t get what she paid for. Completely unacceptable in my opinion. Even if we ordered thru doordash the store made the mistake but passes the problem. Im Completely dissatisfied with this transaction. I was basically stolen from. UNACCEPTABLE. The picture is all the walnuts from less than first half. This could have killed me. Thanks for nothing to the young lady that answered the phone.

Over $8 for a milkshake, with no mix ins, just a plain ice cream flavor, and it sloshed around the cup like it was just milk. My husband went in for me to get it, and he questioned them about it being SO THIN, and he was told that sometimes you just have to mix it up a bit. Um… do what now? You mean to tell me you over milked a shake, in a blender, and they blame it on not being mixed enough? My husband second guessed himself after that, and brought it to me anyway, and I confirmed to him that it was far from correct milk shake consistency, and that we just got ripped off. Apparently this place is not part of the cold stone franchise anymore and is run by someone that is skimping on the actual ice cream given to patrons for the price. If they have to he told how to make a milkshake, I don’t want to do business with them. And another ice cream place bites the dust for us. Not many left…

I got my cotton candy ice cream. It tastes good. After not even 2 minutes, my hand was covered in melted ice cream, even while trying to lick the cup. I go back inside (I was walking to the car previously.) to wash my hands and water sprays out literally everywhere besides a normal stream of water and it all gets on me. And I don’t even get a napkin with my ice cream. I’m going to Culver’s next time.
