This was my first time getting ice cream from this location (though I do frequent other locations). This was the strangest tasting ice cream, I’ve ever had. It wasn’t good, & both my Sister In Law, & brother ordered with me & they said theirs tasted odd/not good too. It was somewhere between a faint hint of mint/metal/a touch of mothballs type of taste, is the best way I can describe it. Sadly, it was disappointing to say the least, & was a refund worthy experience.

The place it self it’s awesome but the old lady that has been there for years is soo rude.
I was craving for ice cream and she literally ruined my mood that as soon as I got out of there I was that upset that I end up trowing away my ice cream !
They need to fire and hire new staff, the young folks where very nice tho.

Honestly one of the worst experiences ive ever had at an ice cream place Macdonalds is better. The milkshake if thats what you wanna call it was so watered down and I order 2 one for me and one for my kid brother. They add ONLY 3 OREOS to the entire thing and the milk was horrible tasting. And left an after taste for about 30 minutes. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND and I would like compensation. To add to this when I asked if they could do something they scoffed at me.

My husband and I stopped in about ten minutes before closing time to get some ice cream. Unfortunately, I could not eat mine because when I bit into my waffle cone, it tasted purely of cleaner, like Fabuloso or something similar. Soapy, bitter, and perfumy. I simply threw away my entire thing once I got home. Hopefully this is an off occurrence where the waffle accidentally got sprayed by whatever is used to clean their counter/glass, but I don’t think I can feel confident about returning with the lack of food safety measures.

The girl that answered the phone on 10/3/25 @8:51PM was rude as crap. I had an issue with a DoorDash order that was taken by a dasher. I was refunded and ordered a second time. The lady told the second dasher it was picked up. I called the store to explain that I placed a second order and she went back and forth trying to say she couldn’t remake the order again. Why?? I just paid for the second order. Then she proceeded to get smart saying, well, what did you order and when I told her what I ordered, she hung up the phone on me. I called the store back 2 times and no one answered the phone. But I guess she realized that it was a second order because the DoorDash is on the way with the order now. No wonder y’all have a 3.3 rating maybe you should think about getting some new people to work for you.

Ordered a cake for my sister in law’s birthday and when I came to pick it up, they had not reserved it at all and had sold out that type of cake, except for one that was falling apart, with the frosting all crushed and graham crackers falling all over the place. It’s also tilted. The website offered the option to add a message on the cake but once at the store, they told us they didn’t do that. Employees were unhelpful teenagers who had zero customer service experience and said they couldn’t help because “the cake people had already left” (mid day), so they only knew how to scoop ice cream. Had no option but to take it like that and fix the cake myself, add whipped cream and strawberries to hide the mess and try to make the best of the day.

The ice cream tasted ok but the waffle cones weren’t sized to the cups they were meant for. They barely held any ice cream. I ended up dumping everything into another bowl.
I ordered ice cream sandwiches as well. They were good but way overpriced.

Ordered via Doordash a medium (love it!) size cup of cake batter ganache ice cream with Reeses peanut butter sauce. The pictures are exactly as it appeared when I took it out of the bag. Chocolate ice cream with Reeses peanut butter cup pieces. Exactly 9 teaspoons worth. Does this look like $10.50 worth of ice cream? Thats $1.16 per teaspoon. This is pathetic. I got my money back from Doordash but that’s not the point. Trained monkeys could do a better job. Actually, UNtrained monkeys could do a better job. Well, it won’t happen again because I’m cutting my losses and never ordering anything from Cold Stone Creamery in Dover, Delaware again.
