Stopped by Coldstone for ice cream and asked a basic question about calories since I’m tracking my macros. The menu lists the “I Like It” size as 310–710 calories, so I asked what causes the range.

The associate clearly didn’t understand the menu, and gave incorrect info. At first, he incorrectly said it was due to different sizes. I pointed out that the calorie range was listed for that specific size, and that larger sizes were clearly labeled with higher calorie ranges. He then said it was because of toppings — which may be true — but instead of clarifying he decided to comment that if I’m worried about calories, I probably shouldn’t be eating ice cream at all. That was unnecessary and unprofessional.

Ppl shouldn’t be shamed for wanting clarity or making informed choices. If you’re watching your calories and still want a treat, I’d recommend avoiding “K.” That’s the name he gave.

Eliza is one of the kindest, most professional employees I’ve encountered at Cold Stone in Scarsdale. She always greets with a smile, stays patient, and truly cares about customers.

It’s upsetting to see adults leave condescending reviews just because she clarified they don’t serve rolled ice cream. Being a teenager doesn’t make her any less capable & she consistently goes above and beyond.

Eliza, you’re doing amazing! Your kindness, maturity, and work ethic don’t go unnoticed. Cold Stone is lucky to have you!

Since the pandemic hit, most places have had to adjust. This one is no exception. They have a sign outside stating “No more than 4 Clients/Customers inside at the same time”. You see, that is subjective. Because if lets say a Family of 4 comes in, it can be counted as 1 client/customer.

This happened Oct 18, 2020. As i parked, I saw 6 people inside. A family of 4, and 2 other customers. A 7th person goes in, and i decide to wait outside. One comes out. Then another. When i see that the family of 4 is already paying, i decide to go in. Here is my issue: “I might be wrong, but i was singled out to please wait outside. I Reply that the other customers are paying and that is chilly outside. She yells back, in front of all the other customers, after having 7 people in, that i need to step outside until they come out”

When i came in, she went to the back and did not come out until i was done. An apology would hace sufficed. I used to come here once every week. No more.

Regarding the Ice Cream… Delicious. If you get service from the right employee, of course.

Edit 12/13/2020 – After leaving my phone number two times, and receiving no reply, i am convinced i should not come back. Today i had the Apple pie A La ColdStone, small, and to be honest could not finish it. No Graham Crackers(was offered to replace it with other option) and the French Vanilla ice cream was already melting. Threw half of it away. Whats happening guys???

I hav never been disappointed with my visits to coldstone until tonight. The staff was incredibly rude and I could’ve sworn they did rolled ice cream. Instead of just correcting me, Eliza yelled across the room in the most obnoxious way. After that, Ryan continued to make fun of the fact that we thought the ice cream was rolled. Incredibly rude, will not be returning.

The server Ryan was Incredibly disrespectful and treated our request as a joke when asking for a different version of ice cream. The other girl elyza was snarky and rude. I would strongly suggest not giving customer service jobs to two teenagers that can’t seem to get it together, they’re quite frankly embarrassing.
