Stopped in for lunch on a busy Sunday and had a great experience at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers.
I started with the Jumbo Salted Pretzel, which was warm, soft, and perfect for sharing. The cheese sauce was delicious with a subtle chili flavor that added a nice kick without being overpowering.
For my main entrée, I ordered the PB&J Burger and wow. The pretzel bun was absolutely delicious, and the flavor combination totally worked. The sweetness of the grape jelly was perfectly balanced with the heat of the chipotle honey sauce, and the peanut butter was added just right, not too heavy. My burger was cooked a perfect medium. I paired it with sweet potato fries, which were crispy and really tasty.
Shoutout to my server Sophia, who was fantastic and took excellent care of me despite how busy it was. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly even though the place was packed.
I also have to mention the ice. I know that’s a weird thing to call out, but it was great in both shape and taste.
The atmosphere was lively and fun with football games playing everywhere. I loved that the TVs were labeled with which games were on, making it super easy to find exactly what you wanted to watch. I will definitely be back.

The bartender Mikayla or Michaela (not sure how to spell it) was awesome to me. Suggested the steak burger so I went with that. If I wasn’t such a gentleman I would have asked her for her number or whatever but I’m not that bold. Steak burger was a 9 and she was a 10. Anyway, I’m done here! Would suggest this for a burger while you’re here in Oro Valley!

First timers. It was a packed house, on a Friday night. The wait was not that long which was good. We ordered 2 different appetizers and 1 of them the tater tots were very cold and the toppings were hot. We waited a little bit so didn’t want to complain and wait longer. I had ordered my burger with fresh jalapeños, they came out with pickled ones. I know it was a busy night but still. That’s not excuse for cold food and not listening to what I ordered. The food was good.
A dessert is always a must. And that was good. If are into burgers and beers, yes I guess try this place once, we tried it. ♀️

Original Review: I’m surprised the ratings are so low. We went here about 2 months ago and everything was stellar. I got the western style burger and I was very happy! Family friendly too. We had 2 kids with us and our best friend, a table of 6 in total! No complaints only compliments. WAS MY REVIEW…
THEN TODAY, Grandpa’s burger was remade 4 times; apparently medium-well is difficult to achieve. We had to see the hostess to get service after we were seated. While the table that arrived and were seated minutes after us had drinks and orders taken before we were even spoken to.
Common guys, we want to like you. But you are making it difficult!

I visited Cold Burgers and Beers while in Tucson with my sister, and we chose it because it was within walking distance of our hotel. The initial interaction with our server was great—friendly and welcoming—which set a positive tone for the evening. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that.
When our food arrived, there were some errors. My sister had ordered blue cheese, and I had ordered ranch, but her plate came with ranch instead. The staff corrected it and brought blue cheese, which we appreciated, but later we noticed we were charged for the extra dressing. Normally, we would have mentioned this, but our server didn’t check in regularly, and the evening dragged on longer than expected due to that lack of attention.
The wings were good—crispy and flavorful—and definitely the highlight of the meal. The salad, however, was just okay and included some questionable lettuce that we probably would have addressed if our server had been more attentive.
Overall, the atmosphere was fine, and the concept is appealing, but the service felt inconsistent and the small details added up. We ended up paying and leaving without saying much, which was disappointing given how promising the start of the visit was.

Just got back from this wonderful restaurant ! Watched an NFL game, service was outstanding! Food excellent, and of course the extra cold beer makes everything perfect.

This place continues to impress! Today I went there for lunch with a party of 9- The service was outstanding and everybody enjoyed their meals! One of my friends brought their 5 year old little girl and she was waited on and loved her milkshake! Sage, our server was very gracious and attentive!

Took my girlfriend, her aunt, and her grandmother. Food selection is unpretentiously good. I have a severe seafood allergy, so I have to be aware of any place where cross contamination may happen. This place’s only seafood option is on the Cesar salad dressing. The beer was served extra cold! When it is 110 degrees in Tucson, you appreciate such things. The burgers were great. My girlfriend had a “Juicy Lucy”- and coming from Wisconsin she holds a high standard. The burger was done perfectly. The fries crisp, and service was attentive. I plan on visiting frequently during the NFL season to watch the games. This is my new go-to place!
