On our road trip from the Finger Lakes to the White Mountains, we pulled off for dinner at Colatina Exit—because road trip rule #27: never hike hungry, never drive hangry.
The pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, but my body politely reminded me that vegetables exist, so we went with the Burrata Caprese salad instead. It was fresh, creamy, and delicious—basically summer on a plate.
The building itself is charmingly old-school, all warm wood and cozy corners that make you want to stay awhile. The only thing missing? A smile or two from the staff. Let’s just say the service could use a refresher course in “hospitality, but make it friendly.”
If you’re local, this might be a great spot for takeout. If you’re just passing through like us, the food’s good—but the vibe might depend on who’s working that day.

We hadn’t been to the colatina in a long while and decided to dine there as we were in the area. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. We were happy the atmosphere has not changed! The bread you get when seated was not like it used to be. In the past, it was lighter with a slight color to it and was delicious and chewy. Now it is pale white and dense. Lots of herb- garlic oil made it better . My chicken parm was a little dark on the bottom but still tasty. Someone in our party got a calzone and it was delicious. Salads and pasta all good. We also got chicken wings with their homemade blue cheese dip. The best blue cheese . We hope to return soon

We had a most delicious dinner at Colatina Exit. Probably the best Italian dinner in a long time. Topping the North End of Boston.
Service was top notch.
We celebrated our 48th anniversary and decided to be adventurous by moving out of our comfort zone. We traveled from our summer home on Newfound Lake in NH to Bradford, Vermont for dinner. A pleasant ride .
My Chicken Piccata was outstanding. My husband had Chicken Al Fredo w/broccoli.
To begin, we had a garlic/olive oil dip with bread. Followed by a generous salad with dill dressing. To top off dinner, we shared a generous slice of cinnamon cheesecake.
Our server was attentive and personable. He explained the options, checked on us often, refilled our water and packed our leftovers.
We certainly will make the trek to Vermont again. Even from our home state, Massachusetts.

I’ve been to this place so many times and I’ve never had any bad experiences here! LOVE their maple butter that comes with the bread, I wish they would sell it in store!! (It was garlic olive oil when I went today, so I’m not sure if the maple butter is seasonal. The olive oil was great too!)
Their mista salad with maple balsamic is a must try. One of the best salad dressing that I have ever tried! Pizza is great too! Staffs are friendly. Highly recommend this place!

Took my mom out for a birthday dinner here and everything was great! Penne alla vodka was yummy and mom enjoyed her chicken piccata too. Our server Chelsea was so sweet and made my mom’s day a little more special. Nice atmosphere too!

Kids enjoy this place. Delicious desserts. Unfortunately no espresso
We eat here several times per year. Highly recommended.

I’m giving it a hard 3. We had dinner here. The server was polite, but pretty inattentive, considering they weren’t very busy. The food was ok. I had the pizza, which was fine, but my wife’s alfredo was runny and almost flavorless, including the chicken.

Food sucks. Used to be good, over a decade ago. Don’t know what has happened. They have no right calling themselves an Italian restaurant. My daughter, about their eggplant Parm: “This ain’t no eggplant Parm!” lol. Lasagna-literally the worst food I’ve ever been served in a restaurant, nothing but a pile of greasy cheese, acidic sauce, and overpriced, to boot. I could barely find the actual lasagna in the pile of yuk. I guess if you go there for bar-food, the appetizers will do…it’s pub food. Also, on more than one occasion, my take-out order was missing a major component and living over 40 minutes away, returning is not worth it. They said they refunded my order last time it happened, gave me a “credit”, but when I went in to order again, they had no idea what I was talking about. Obviously the manager just wanted to get me off the phone.

Must have been a rough night. Pizza was cool and bottom of crust was hard and separated from the cheese. Salad was great! Wings were wrong flavor and leaked all over the bag. Extra chicken for the salad was over cooked. Heard this place was better so I’m thinking it was an off night. I hope so.
