Long time favorite in Pensacola “Coffee Cup Restaurant” has been around since 1945. They have three kitchens that allow them to easily crank out the food quickly. The front kitchen (behind the counter) has the original griddle from 1945. 80 years worth of seasoning as of this year.

Service is knowledgeable and always helpful. Jennifer is especially helpful and friendly. The biscuits are huge and fluffy. I always go for breakfast, but I understand they also serve lunch. I found the biscuit gravy, tasty, and the turkey Benedict delicious as well.

Coffee is always fresh and if you sit at the counter, you get to watch them fix your breakfast right in front of your eyes.

Plenty of parking behind the building and a handicap ramp in the back. Be sure and check out the vaulted ceiling in the mens room.

I’ll definitely be going back, see you there.

We were greeted at the door and had assistance to our table. Very friendly and patient personnel. The atmosphere was very inviting with quick and attentive service. I believe it was the owner who visited our table several times to offer suggestions to our meal and make certain that our food was good. The food was amazing. They serve breakfast all day. This is now one of my favorite places.

Enjoyed a nice breakfast with my friend today. We chose new spot and we were not disappointed.

We did not have to wait for a table. The entire staff was super friendly. However, we realized that we made it before the rush because it was filling up quick.

I will bring my family back next time to eat. Thank you for such a great experience today.

Step back in time as you visit a Pensacola staple since 1945. It still has that old school flavor and still serves diner staples with a few twist of their own. It is very popular, and seating is limited, but the wait was not long. Apparently, everything on the menu is available at any time because when joked about getting their famous onion rings for breakfast, Jennifer, our server, said no problem. We didn’t get the because we were trying quite a few breakfast items, but I will definitely be back to try them. Eggs prepared any way you want, with a variety of breakfast meats from bacon to chicken tenders to beef steak. The grits were creamy and seasoned well. The coffee is good and plentiful, and the pancakes are fluffy and cake like. It’s not polished but perfect. Open breakfast and lunch only and closed on Tuesday. Make your way here for the best breakfast you are liable to have at a price you can’t beat.

Big whoop! I kinda get the hype. It’s been around forever, famous for the Nassau grits, and it’s always PACKED even though the hours are short.

It’s like stepping into a time capsule with swing-out counter seats, beaten up booths that dip in funny places, and tiny tables.

The place is usually so busy that you might have to wait for a table to open up despite it being 10am on a weekday. My waitress was nice enough, but I saw her once for the menu, once for the food and drinks, and one last time for the check. A refill and some napkins would’ve have been nice.

The food was pretty good. I had their shrimp, mullet, and grits with tomato gravy. It came tossed together in a bowl. I think I would’ve liked it more if the components were separated. The menu doesn’t specify. The shrimp and fish had a crispy cornmeal coating. The shrimp was juicy despite the crispness. The mullet was a touch dry. The waitress suggested cheese for the grits that came with the meal (upcharged as a large side, $1.95). Personally, I could do without the cheese as the dish is already quite heavy. The turnip greens were FANTASTIC. They had no business being that good. Not overly spiced, yet savory and satisfying. The greens are different from what I’m used to in the best way possible.

All around me, there was the ruckus and chaos of families, tourists, and locals. Coffee Cup has a well-deserved reputation, but I wasn’t blown away. It would be cool to take someone who’s never been, but I don’t see myself being a regular here.

Total waste of money. The tomato gravy was Campbell’s tomato soup with some petite diced tomatoes. The pork chop my bf ordered was still partly raw. The hollandaise sauce was as thick as cheese sauce. It’s supposed to be an immersion not a clump. I ordered a side of hollandaise to put over my hash browns and when my plate was brought out with no side of sauce, I asked about it and the waitress informed me the cook put it on top of my eggs Benedict. If that was the case and that was “extra” sauce I hate to know what it comes like regularly. The cook threw the poached eggs on the plate without draining all of the water out so I had a puddle of water and hollandaise. The presentation was sloppy at best as everything looked like it was just thrown on there lazily. I understand being busy but if you’re going to try to present something at least do it right. Needless to say, we will not be back. This was my second and last time at this establishment. The first time I couldn’t taste anything so I couldn’t really tell if it was any good. The lack of taste buds clearly wasn’t just from being sick as the most flavor on my plate came from the ham on my eggs Benedict. Don’t waste your money here.

I first sat at the counter then decided I wanted a window booth then I had to change it all again to to-go because I had a rider to pick up faster than scheduled so they were awesome w each change I made, never once felt I was bothering them even though I was lol. So. I had told my rider I would share my sandwich w her, I wish I hadn’t, it was so good I hope she declined lol I had bacon egg sandwich on white toast but I meant to add a tomato on that but forgot, and some grits. So good, I’m hoping my rider doesn’t want the grits either but I said I’d share
