Coffea’s original location has a cozy, welcoming feel that makes it a favorite, especially during the colder months. The spot by the fireplace is hard to beat when it’s chilly outside and you want to settle in with a warm drink.
While the atmosphere is lovely, the space could use a bit more lounge-style seating. Much of the seating is made up of stools or metal chairs, which are fine for a quick visit but not as comfortable for lingering. That said, Coffea consistently shines in the details. When you order a drink to stay, the presentation is always thoughtful and unique, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
One of the nicest touches is the “Little REACH Library,” where you’re invited to take a book to read and keep. REACH is an excellent secondhand bookstore, and it’s really special to see these two local businesses supporting each other in such a creative, community-minded way.
We enjoy all Coffea locations, but this original one stands out as especially cozy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the plants scattered throughout the shop add warmth and life to the space. It’s a comfortable, inviting place that encourages you to slow down and stay awhile.

Such a great coffee spot! I’ve traveled around Indonesia and tried many kinds of coffee, and I can honestly say their cortado here is amazing. The balance of espresso and milk is perfect, rich and smooth. The place is also super cozy and comfortable, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a quality cup of coffee. Highly recommended!

Was in the area and was looking for a local coffee shop to try. Stumbled across this location nearby and based on the reviews decided to try it out. The atmosphere is welcoming with various seating options from traditional tables and chairs to couches and high tables. The patronage seems to be people who are regulars with many people sitting and working. The service was very friendly and efficient and the coffee (cortado) was strong and good. Much appreciated on a cold winter morning

We stopped here on a holiday road trip from Denver to Fargo. We were sticking to local shops and this was some of the best coffee of the trip! We originally wanted flavored cold brew, but the barista recommended iced americanos instead to better pair with the syrups. They were spot on—it was delicious and fueled the rest of our drive. Super convenient drive-thru, too!

We love Coffea. They have very good options and very fresh coffee. They’re espresso is smooth and not bitter yet strong. They they use only the finest ingredients in their blends They have really really good baked goods as well. Their drinks seem to be fairly sweet so if you like your drink to be a little more mild ask for half flavor. They have several convenient locations around Sioux falls South Dakota now and are the premier coffee shop for the area. The inside of all locations always seems to be very clean and nice they’re a good place to meet people for book clubs and other events such as that.

Cute coffee shop with a chill and quiet vibe with lots of people either working or meeting there.
We were driving through town, and stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and drink. This is definitely more of a coffee shop than a stop for food, as there isn’t much variety. There was a case with cinnamon rolls, muffins, scones, and baked goods. They had two options for a breakfast sandwich: egg and cheese or chorizo, egg and cheese. We opted for two of the chorizo, a Nutella scone, and a cinnamon roll, as well as a lavender latte and a drip coffee.
When we ordered the sandwiches, they had to check to see if they were available, which was a bit odd, but said they were and we were good to go. I will say it took quite a while to get our drinks and we waited even longer (like ten minutes) for the two sandwiches. When we got them, they were lukewarm.
Took off and ate them on the road, and they really were delicious but would’ve been nice to have them hotter. It was like an egg patty with the chorizo baked in on a crumbly cheesy roll and the greens and sun-dried tomato aioli was so good. Definitely tasty. Lavender latte was good & perfectly hot. My husband said the drip coffee was very good. The place was clean, restrooms clean, and the kids loved playing chess while we waited.

while on a roadtrip from colorado to minnesota, i stopped by this big cafe. while sioux falls is not a top priority to go to again, i’d definitely go to Coffea again. they have a huge space to find seating both in comfy corners and studious work tables. their merch is super cute and fashionable as well and it was the first thing welcoming you in. service was sweet and simple. they have a bathroom and they have wifi. my purchase was $6.41 which included an americano with steamed milk and a tip. if you’re looking for a high quality cafe, come to coffea.

Their cortados are to die for. Drip coffee is underwhelming. This is definitely the place to go if you want super high quality espresso drinks. Really cool merch! Service is occasionally fantastic.

As a fellow barista, I really appreciate what Coffea Roasterie is doing. The service was warm and friendly from the moment we walked in, and the shop itself is spotless with a modern, welcoming vibe. Their merchandise is adorable, but the real highlight is the coffee. You can tell they put a lot of care into sourcing and roasting- nothing is overly sweet or masked; you actually get to taste the unique flavor of the beans. That kind of quality isn’t easy to find. I also grabbed a scone, and it was the perfect pairing- fresh and delicious. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves truly well crafted coffee! Thank you again!☕️

I ordered espresso, and it was good (came with a side of sparkling water). The baristas were friendly and helpful. But I was more impressed with the size and the layout of this location.
Plenty of seats, but enough spacing in between to have some decent privacy and work space. Some of the furniture (coffee tables) were on sale, which I think is a nice gimmick/concept. Personally, I think if the wall that the fireplace is in were torn down, it would create a more open feel and make the whole vibe of the store a little better. Also, if you’re looking to work and need to plug in, there aren’t that many outlets on the floor.
