This is definitely Not the Cody’s everyone used to know!
I haven’t been to Cody’s in 30 years. Lots of good old memories in this place back in the day. Other than a few cosmetic updates, the look of the place hasn’t changed much. But, oddly enough, we didn’t hear any county music while we were there.
It was around 7 on Friday night and we were pretty much the only people there apart from a few who were sitting at the bar. We went for dinner after hearing on the radio how good their food is. Unfortunately, the food was just ok. We ordered the patty melt, bacon cheeseburger and a cheese pizza. We both wanted to order the steak, but I didn’t have any confidence that the 14 oz. Ribeye meal would be worth the $30 price tag. Drinks came out in small clear plastic cups, half the size of a Solo cup. When the waitress brought our ticket, it was hand written on a napkin. It just seemed like a “cheap” experience that was way too expensive. I was hopeful for a much better dinner experience.

Was Only There To Play In The Pool Tournament. Atmosphere Was Laid Back and Bartender Was Good About Making His Rounds and Checking To See If We Needed Anything.

We didn’t eat there. We just got drinks and played pool. The staff were very nice and friendly. I just moved back after several years away. When I left, this place was hopping every day. There were just a few people there this time, but people were constantly in and out getting food. I’m going to try their food next time! Yall need to check this place out. I’m definitely going back.

I went to what used to be known as the best steaks in town. We had a terrible experience! Cody’s were completely unprepared and the quality of food was just not up to par. It is incredibly frustrating when you have high expectations and the reality is so disappointing. Cody’s really dropped the ball on both food and service. It’s disappointing when a place with a good reputation fails to deliver, especially when you’re looking forward to a nice meal with friends. The cook Lo-Lo told us, in some many ways to leave. It’s definitely important to listen to those Red flags and trust your instincts when it comes to choosing where to dine. The steaks were Salty, dry, tough and inedible! I will go to Rafferty’s instead.

I’m not sure who was at the security door last night or how they do things there or in Jackson. Me and my friends came to visit our friend in Jackson who’s never went out there before. There’s literally a whole masc presenting security guard frisk checking the women, but when I walk in because we simply didn’t want to hold up the line we wanted to find out the price and transfer funds so we can come in and have a chill lil time, I heard comments like “that one is ugly and that one is a whole boy they might as well not come back.” Lol they are miserable. Disrespectful ash. Ew. So if you’re gay or you’re not a model just don’t go there. I’d give zero stars if I could.

Great music,great service from our waitress Sgt. Watson She went beyond the call of duty for her tables. Me and my friends had a great time and would recommend anyone who would like a place that provides great food also and great place to let every thing go stress wise this is the place! Go by and give it a go and tell Sgt. Watson I ,David Watson said excellent job and thank you. I will be definitely coming back.
