Had a lovely evening at Coco’s Bistro, but there were some highs and lows. The food presentation was stunning…definitely Instagram-worthy…though the actual flavors were a bit average (pretty ‘mid’ for the price). Our server was incredibly kind and professional, but the service was notably slow throughout the night. Also, while the cocktails looked great, they felt a bit light on the alcohol. It’s a beautiful spot, but I’m hoping for a more consistent experience next time.

We grabbed dinner before seeing the musical, The Wiz, and it was the perfect start to our night. I went with my mom, wife, and mother-in-law, and the cozy vibe really set us up for a great evening. The drinks were good and fried brie cheese were quick to arrive

The food was awesome all around. The risotto was super rich and comforting, the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the New York steak was tender cooked medium-rare with that smooth, tasty puree, was definitely on point. I tried the crab cake on noodles, which was a nice surprise and packed with flavor. For dessert, the espresso creme brulee was amazing, so creamy with just enough espresso, and the perfect pre-show treat

Tyler took such good care of us from beginning to end. He was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Totally recommend it, and we’ll for sure be back!!

Very nice little restaurant. The food was the best part. Atmosphere and Service weren’t as great as the food, but were fine in general. It was very loud, both because of the music playing and because of the other patrons even though it wasn’t very busy. Acoustics were not great.

The fried Brie was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. It was so incredibly delicious. I got a “bend and snap” cocktail and it was really strong and good! The bread was nice. I enjoyed my chicken ceaser salad and my husband LOVED his steak. I’d go back here, but maybe for more of a special occasion as it was a bit pricey for a regular evening dinner out.

My friends and I had dinner last night and it was my first time ever being there. We shared some great food – I had the salmon and it was delicious, as were my french fries which were hot and crispy! My friends were impressed with the cocktails. The BEST part, hands down, was our awesome server, Taylor. He went above and beyond what I expected; he was professional yet warm and welcoming. He was knowledgeable about the food and patient with our questions about the menu. Our drinks were always full and our food came out quickly, but with quality. I did like the food, but what I’m going back for is Taylor’s incredible service. Request him and you won’t be disappointed!

Went here for the first time on a whim and it smelled good before walking in. Went between 2-5 hour so didn’t have the entree. But it’s definitely clean, comfortable, and it’s a little pricey but you get what ya paid for! Cleaned all our plates, best chicken sandwich (birdie) I’ve ever had. Grilled cheese and tomato bisque was delicious , will admit I prefer Colby Jack or cheddar cheese for my grilled cheese but was good. Everything is home made and home seasoned, I’ll definitely go again if in area. Also we split a grilled cheese lol

My wife and I went to Coco’s last night for our weekly date night and love it!

I had been there prior for a work lunch and thought the atmosphere of the restaurant is exactly what my wife loves and it was! The place has a nice modern and clean feel about it. Definitely an upscale but causal feeling atmosphere!

The food itself was also great! I had the ribeye which was a nice quality cut and cooked to exactly what I ask for. The only issue I had with it is it didn’t seemed very seasoned. It seemed to rely more of the glaze and butter it was served with. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it just isn’t my preference for a steak but it was still good! My wife ordered the Salmon Frites and loved hers!

Overall, it was a great place for a date night! We loved the atmosphere and enjoyed our experience from top to bottom! I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Can’t believe this adorable place just happens to be in Dayton, Ohio. The atmosphere is a whole vibe, including the decor and seating. The service was outstanding. I live in Atlanta, but somehow I’ve been to Coco’s twice in 5 months; the great service and fantastic food is no fluke. The food was also outstanding. Somebody in that kitchen is a chef, for sure. I got the pork shoulder with grits. It was magnificent. And they put warm focaccia bread on the table when you arrive. And I give their Brussels sprouts appetizer a 10 out of 10. Great portions. Great tasting food. I guess this is my place now whenever I’m in Dayton.

Starting with ruining a birthday celebration when we specifically asked for it, on the phone NOT online.
The food was unsalted, and service was kinda slow.
Steak flavor came from the butter and toppings only, no salt what so ever and tough cut (medium). $50 should get you a somewhat decent steak.
Lobster MAC, $42: ONE small claw meat in the entire dish, no joke.
Cocktails: Very tasty but almost no alcohol, had two and not even a buzz, for $14 a cocktail, please put a little bit of cheap alcohol in it.
Manager dealt with the matter as if it was our fault (we were polite so she was, generic apology and didn’t deliver)
Bland space, concrete floors that looks bad, industrial feeling, lights directed at your eyes, and someone with flip-flops was seated next to us, not a great site to look at while eating.
Overall not a good choice for special occasions, good for an everyday meal, but doubt that for the prices.
Up charge of $4+ for Credit Card use… (Seriously with your prices?)
* In all fairness: French Fries were absolutely AMAZING.
(Receptionist was nice.)

Great place to go to lunch in Dayton. Everyone enjoyed their entrees!
The burger was a double patty with bacon and onions and aioli. Felt like it needed a bit of arugula or pickles or something to break up the meatiness 7.5/10.
The grilled cheese and tomato soup was awesome 9/10!
The two cocktails we tried were both very good like 10/10!
The apple dessert thing was very good like 9-10/10.
The chocolate cake was just ok maybe 6/10 it needed like a chocolate mousse or frosting or something since it was a bit dry/bland by itself.
Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean and the atmosphere of the whole restaurant was very clean and comfortable but classy. I’m sure we’ll be back.
