cute little french owned bakery in music row district! was so excited about the french onion soup sandwich but i’m sad to say it was a lil underwhelming. May I reccomend marinating the meat in actual french onion soup for flavor? i think that would really bring it to life. Chocolate croissant was good, staff was so friendly and coffees were good too!

Wonderful Mediterranean quiche, croissant, kouign-amman, and cappuccino for breakfast at Cocorico!.

The quiche was creamy and the crust baked just right. I’ll order it again for sure. The croissant was well laminated and baked. I would have preferred a little more butter and salt and perhaps a bit more French brown during the baking but those are personal preferences. The kouign-amann was just the right level of sweetness. I couldn’t eat it all as I was already full having devoured the quiche and eaten from the croissant but if that had not been the case I would have easily had it all.

Will definitely bookmark this bakery cafe for my next visit to Nashville.

This is such a cute bakery near music row! The location is not ideal if you don’t live within walking distance of it, but still worth stopping by if you can! I got there around 11, and was disappointed to see that some of the items I had been hoping to get were already sold out. I ended up getting the Parisian sandwich and the caramel croissant bites, both of which were delicious! I could have eaten 4 of the caramel croissant bites. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and the indoor area looks so magical, I loved it. I can imagine it’s a great spot to do some work during the week!

Maybe we came at a less than optimal time, but we thought we’d have the pick of the litter on a Monday at 8am.

The pastry case was a lot smaller than I expected, so the amount of sweet selections suffered. We did purchase the almond and chocolate croissants, and they were good, but I was hoping for glazed fruit atop custard tarts, eclairs or napoleons, but alas, there were none.

The cappuccino was good and the French hot cocoa was ok, but not as memorable as Monmartre.

Even the baguette was ok, but not as good as what you could purchase at any Lee’s Sandwiches.

Pricey and underwhelming…

We stayed at the Virgin hotel, which is basically across the street from CocoaRico and I happen to have stopped in as I was walking by. The bakery and sandwich place is really great with perfectly made sandwiches and baked goods and they also offer drinks as well. My experience was that it was the last day I was in Nashville in the last 20 minutes the restaurant was open, and I was bound and determined to have this one particular sandwich that looked so delicious to me. I just had to have it. I called the restaurant and long story short, the employee Aicha answered my prayers! I couldn’t get it delivered because it was too close to closing time, but she made sure that sandwich (the LAST one in the store) got to me at the Virgin Hotel. This employee gets 5 starts!!! The sandwich I got was a brie and ham with butter on a baguette, and it was absolutely every bit amazing and she even threw in an extra piece of bread for me. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. I highly recommend this place. The food is amazing. You will not be disappointed. It was always busy the entire time we walked or drove by.

Almond croissants have been part of my life since before I was born—my mom loved the French bakeries around Boston in the late ’80s when she was pregnant with me, and almond croissants were her big craving.

Cocorico is one of the best I’ve tried in both the South and the Northeast. What I love most is that nothing tastes overly sweet. You can really taste the good butter and cream, and the flavors feel balanced instead of sugary.

The chocolatine and the chocolate cake both use a deep, rich chocolate that plays nicely with the buttery dough—intense but not heavy.

The croissants are spot on: crisp and flaky on the outside, soft and airy inside, with that gentle, crackly bite you want. The almond croissant adds a tender almond filling and toasted nuts without tipping into sweetness overload.

All I have to say is…Toulouse should be proud.

Your almond croissants made it all the way to south Texas! We were fortunate enough to find your cafe and visit during our road trip 🙂 Latte, almond croissants, pesto pasta salad chefs kiss We got to visit twice while in Nashville and sent other customers your way. I was thrilled to hear my daughter brought some baked goods on her flight back home. Often, we visit places we can go without ever revisiting. Not the case with Cocorico. Keep doing what you’re doing and always remember why you started in the first place. You’re doing great!

I discovered Cocorico for the first time at the Nashville Farmers Market, and it instantly became my favorite spot for fresh, delicious French pastries. Their croissants are next-level—especially the warm ham and cheese, which is my absolute favorite. The Parisian sandwich is also incredible, full of flavor and perfectly balanced.

I also love their parfaits, and the lunch formulas they offer are such a great way to sample a little bit of everything—they really showcase the best of what Cocorico does.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a beautiful view that makes it an ideal place to enjoy a coffee or bite to eat. Plus, the free on-site parking is a huge bonus in Nashville!

Highly recommend this gem of a bakery—Cocorico is truly something special!
