When we travel, we always look for places where the locals eat rather than tourist spots and this place did not disappoint. The pigeon peas and rice were incredibly flavorful, and they serve different fish each day, which keeps things fresh and exciting.
We ordered the ribs and the king fish, and both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The lady at the counter was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. The place was bustling with locals, which is always a great sign that you’re getting authentic local flavors.

Why did we not go to this place earlier? Made it here on our last day. Always busy and open for lunch and dinner, ask for the fried chicken, it’s not on the menu. It was so good, we polished it off before we could take a pic.

We had heard that Coconos had good fried chicken, so we stopped by and found out that they have great fried chicken. They do mostly takeout, but have a few tables and we asked if we could eat in and we were graciously told we could. The sides were very good. While we ate we watched a progression of people come in for carry out.

We was recommended to visit Coconos, so tonight we did, and we were not disappointed. We had the Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken, and it was so tender is just fell off the bone. Good value for your money, as the portions were pretty big. Thanks a lot!
