I’ve tried pastelitos, el rabo, chicharrón and pico pollo. All excellent. Gentleman who runs it is very nice. Very authentic Dominican food. Definitely will visit again.

Cocina D Beatriz is a gem for authentic Dominican Republic food! The mangú with los tres golpes was delicious, the passion fruit juice heavenly, and the tres leches a must-try. The owners are so warm and attentive, making the experience feel like home. There’s seating, and while the space is still a work in progress, I’m excited to see it grow—definitely worth a visit! ✨

A Hidden Gem of Dominican Flavor — An Experience Beyond a Meal

If you’re craving a taste of the Dominican Republic that feeds more than your stomach, you need to find your way to this local treasure where Daniel Beatriz — the owner, cook, and server — invites you into something deeper than dinner: he welcomes you into his story.

The Food: A Symphony for the Senses

We started with a plate of pigeon pea rice with stewed beef, a dish that looked like a celebration on a plate. The rice glowed golden with tender pigeon peas nestled inside — each bite was fluffy yet hearty, and the aroma of garlic and sofrito filled the air before our forks even touched the plate. The beef stew melted on the tongue, rich and deeply seasoned with warm spices that left a whisper of heat on the lips. You could hear the gentle simmer in every spoonful — that slow-cooked tenderness only possible when someone cares enough to wait.

Then came the beef empanada — crisp pastry that crunched between your teeth, giving way to a steaming pocket of savory, spiced ground beef. The flaky shell left buttery traces on your fingers and a toasty warmth that paired perfectly with the tang of the house salad. That salad — a simple but refreshing bite of crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, which cleansed the palate and added a bright crunch to balance the rich dishes.

The chicken stew was comfort in a bowl: tender pieces of chicken soaked in a broth so fragrant you could taste the garlic, peppers, and onions just by breathing it in. Paired with fluffy white rice and perfectly cooked beans, each spoonful was earthy, silky, and satisfying — like a hug you could taste.

To wash it all down, we sipped passion fruit juice, sweet and tart, its tropical aroma filling the senses with every sip. Cold and vibrant, it danced on the tongue and cut through the warmth of the stews, leaving you refreshed and wanting more.

The Experience: A Table Full of Heart

But the real magic was Daniel himself. Not just the chef, not just the server — he was our storyteller for the evening. Between courses, he stood by our table, describing how he hand-seasons his meats and how he and his wife lovingly designed and built the rustic, colorful decor with their own hands. The walls, the warm lighting, the art — every piece reflected their roots and their pride.

When Daniel brought out our plates, it wasn’t just about feeding us — it was about sharing a piece of his island, his family, and his passion for food made with time and intention. He didn’t rush us, didn’t just take our order — he built a bridge, making sure we felt like guests in his home, not just another table.

Final Thoughts

If you come here hungry, you’ll leave satisfied — but if you come here curious, you’ll leave nourished in ways that linger long after the last bite. Daniel’s Dominican cooking is soulful, honest, and vibrant — and his warmth makes the flavors even richer.

Don’t just visit for the food — visit for the experience. You’ll taste the island, you’ll hear its stories, and you’ll feel like family by the time you leave.

We went to the restaurant and the guy greeted us with a dirty apron and told us to sit on. The tables weren’t even cleaned or picked up. There were dishes and cups still on the table and a water bottle. I had to move the water bottle to the side. He did not greet us properly and he did not give us our menus. They were on the table ready for us to pick up it took us an hour and maybe and a half to get one food out the rice look old the chicken was burnt. The salad was plain. He had no ingredients he had no fried pork chops no fried pork no beans. It was a complete disaster once you brought the food out that I looked at it. I left it on the table and walked away. The Ingredientshe had on the menu was not even There he had missing ingredients that were not even on the menu please don’t go to this restaurant. It’s a waste of time.

I want to share my heartfelt experience at this wonderful restaurant. From the moment we arrived, Daniel, the owner, welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness. His hospitality truly made us feel like we were at home. He presented everything beautifully and attended to our needs with a radiant smile.

When we had questions about the menu, he was so patient and helpful, especially since everything looked so tempting. I decided to order the Mofongo, and it was absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to return! Daniel’s thoughtfulness and dedication to his guests deserve a perfect ten out of ten. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience—please go and see for yourselves; you won’t be disappointed!

I had been wanting some really good empanadas for a very long time. I randomly came across this restaurant and they did not disappoint. The rice with peas were delicious and the white rice with beans was amazing. The service is outstanding as well. I plan on coming back to try the entire menu.

Dominican food here is absolutely delicious. From the first bite you can taste the authentic seasoning that takes you straight to the island: tasty, creamy mangú with the classic “tres golpes,” all put together beautifully, with “cheese empapandas = pastelitos” and even the authentic ” “Morir Soñando” juice, felt so homemade.

✨ The scene, with the Caribbean feel so around and the service is just as impressive: attentive, friendly, always mindful of details, and with a smile that makes you feel like family. It’s not just eating—it’s living the full Dominican experience!

Very nasty food and customer service. I watched him warm up a very small portion of Pernil in the microwave, and the box had hair on the outside. I should have known there would be hair in the food, on top of serving an assortment of empanadas and being rude about it. I tried to patronize something familiar, and I am deeply dissatisfied. The man was on the phone the whole time nasty when I told him my daughter found a hair. While eating!!! How disgusting, then to try to insult me “where’s the hair” . Refusing a partial refund for sub par food. 0/10 would not recommend.
