I picked up a sandwich from Cobby’s II and was very impressed. I ordered the #15 Italian sub on herbed focaccia bread, size large, and it was HUGE. The large was $24.85 and easily big enough for more than one meal.

The sandwich was absolutely delicious and loaded with capicola, Genoa salami, cotto, and mortadella. I highly recommend adding the Cobby’s sauce, which is a mix of mayo, mustard, and horseradish. It really takes the sandwich to the next level.

I did takeout rather than dining in, but the staff was very friendly and the overall vibe felt relaxed and laid back. A nice bonus is that you get free chips plus apples and oranges with your order. They also have a salad bar if you are looking for lighter options.

Great food, generous portions, and friendly service. I will definitely be back.

Cobby’s has always been the best sandwich shop in the Treasure Valley, every sandwich comes with free chips and apples which is one of my favorite parts. I’ve had numerous great experiences at the Garden City location, especially when Jake is working! He represents the company with stride; providing a smiling face, up-beat attitude, extensive menu knowledge and fast/quality service. If you want a top-tier sandwich in the Boise area; it’s gotta be Cobby’s!

This place, specifically this location, is a time capsule. It’s like a lodge in the interior, like it was crafted years ago very simply and has a very unique smell.

The food is amazing. Soups are stellar. Drink offerings are totally acceptable for an old sandwich shop. The salad bar is a little lacking but has the standards.

Staff is nice, during a rush they get through the line of people – just not super quick. Always worth the wait though.

You are always offered free chips and fruit. Sometimes they even have free logo’d 5 gallon buckets. Why? I have no clue but people were excited to take them home.

They do have meeting rooms to host larger groups of people.

10/10/10/10. Cobby’s always comes thru with the most delicious sandos and soups. During a recent visit, I branched away from my typical choice (Turkey Avo) and tried No. 30 the Chicken Salad Sandwich ($10.95/small) on whole wheat with no extras, side of Chili (+$5.00). Massive amounts of flavor in each bite. The salad was deliciously creamy. I really wished they were more generous with the salad, however I’ll make note the ask for extra next time even if it comes at an additional cost. I will gladly pay! This was an excellent sandwich.

My husband stuck to the usual No. 23 Turkey Avocado ($12.45/small) with a side of chips. You really can’t go wrong with this one. The ingredients are always fresh and they stuff the heck out of it with both meat and avocado.

Until next time!

We had a roast beef sandwich, this stuff wasn’t even roast beef, some kind of slimy goop… I had a BLT …. I can make better at home…. 3 little tomatoes, 2 strips bacon, 1 piece lettuce…. Had clam chowder soup…. Not any clams in this lukewarm soup… sad.
We used to eat there all the time, great sandwiches, but that all gone now… and us to.

Did you know Cobby’s has meeting rooms! We planned my son’s Birthday at Cobby’s. Strange place? Not hardly! We had a 9 ft long sandwich & a fantastic time! My only reason for marking one star lower was the disappearance of the phone booth! My heart is broken. Such a mainstay. The Food and Fun was AMAZING. They have 2 rooms. The 16 person is free to reserve. The 50 person room is $100 of cobby’s food. We did that with the giant sandwich then enjoyed pitchers of beer & soda to supplement. The staff was kind and forthright. If you have a party or club, this is a very clear win for a meeting place. Thank you, Cobby’s! My son’s special day was epic!

I love this little place and the employees are super nice, But I’m disappointed with the sandwiches. I think this photo will tell you everything you need to know. They just didn’t seem to take a lot of care in building the sandwich and they hardly put any produce on it at all. If these were inexpensive sandwiches, that would be one thing, but these are $15-20 sandwiches. this is frustrating to say the least. Probably won’t go back sadly — unless they beef up their sandwiches and I can get what I paid for

Hot Pastrami sandwich was small and had a disappointing amount of meat. Pastrami was good and the bread was fresh, but $15 for such a skimpy sandwich was way overpriced, Will not return

I use to love Coby’s but then I took a break about 3 weeks back the food was getting worse and worse. But then I came back to a new staff and the service was alright. But the sandwich was horrible. The Bacon was completely raw. I had to take it off the sandwich because I couldn’t eat it. The tomato it was pinkish white and warm and seemed like it has been sitting for a long time. Now finally for the price, i paid $13.20 for a small sandwich that was super overpriced. After this experience i am done with Coby’s it’s just really aggravating i paid that much for raw nasty sandwich.
