Came here on a Friday night with a friend. The wait wasn’t bad at all since there were two empty seats at the bar. The bartender Lauren was awesome! Great to talk to and kept checking on us to make sure we had what we needed.

Went to coastal flats for dinner on Sunday afternoon with my wife and some friends and had an amazing experience. I’ve been to this location a few times over the years and am glad to say my experience has always been consistently good. Making a reservation in advance is always helpful as the Fairfax corner area is usually fairly busy but the dining room in this location is quite large and we were able to show up with no reservation and were seated quickly.

Been wanting to go here for a long time. Went for dinner on a Tuesday night and it was packed. We had not made a prior reservation and it only took us 15min to be seated. The atmosphere is really nice. Liked their wall paintings and wooden decor.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant twice and enjoyed the service and atmosphere each time. The service staff is friendly and the food is delicious. The menu offers affordable options for different budgets. On a nice day, enjoy eating by the large open-air windows overlooking a beautiful green space. Also, this location is convenient for grabbing a bite to eat before (or after) catching a movie across the street. You can also choose to relax outside in the green space and possibly play chess using the giant chess board with actual movable pieces!

I ordered takeout and the food was still fantastic by the time I made it back to the hotel. The mini crab cake sliders were great, but the blue crab and shrimp fritters stole the show!! I cannot recommend those enough. Even their broccolini had a fantastic flavor and a citrus zing.

First time at Coastal Flats and the restaurant was quite busy. We waited about 30 minutes for a table which is reasonable. Hostess staff are very friendly to include our server. The kitchen may have been a bit overwhelmed since our starter dish didn’t come out until after our main dishes. Ordered the ribeye ($46), pork ribs, and child’s fish fingers with fries (fish and chips). The ribeye was a bit on the salty side and I went through three glasses of unsweetened tea. I could only eat about half and jokingly said to my wife that I need about 4 bowls of plain rice to finish the rest. The ribs were tender and the calamari was definitely on the sweet side. The server did remove the calamari off our bill because it came out late, which was kind of the restaurant. Maybe we should have ordered surf instead of turf.

Delicious meal. I loved the crab chowder and the shrimp and grits. Very attentive service and nice decor. It had a buzz at lunchtime and I didn’t wait long for a seat.

I can not overstate the unbelievable favors your mouth will enjoy when you encounter one of the best prepared salmon’s in Northern Virginia, hell in the entire DMV area. It’s flaky, juicy, chard and packed with flavor. It runs about $25 to 35$, depending on the season, but I’d pay a little more just for the delightful experience. If you think you could find better drop me a reply. I’d love to hear your recommendation.
