We batch our ice creams, custards, and sorbets on location! We focus on whole ingredients and using in season and locally grown fruits in our recipes. Adults can enjoy our boozey selection of treats. We serve in cups or cones with all of toppings available. Turn any of our flavors into one of our old fashioned milkshakes, cookie or brownie sundaes, banana splits, apple fritters, and huge Belgian waffle sundaes! It’s time to put your diets away and stop in for homemade frozen treats that will be worth the calories. Homemade ice cream on the Causeway! It’s the WAY to eat ice cream beCAUSE it’s so good. Coastal Creamery has a flavor to suit any palette, the quality and flavor is outstanding. What a great addition to a hidden gem area of the Outer Banks. Ice cream, pizza, beer, and food are all local and you can taste the individuality in each establishment.
Do your kids, or better yet yourself, a favor and get here for the flavor.

Super cool complex, this creamery is posted within the kity hawk water sports area. Dinosaurs of the giant variety next door with the putt putt, great view for kiddos. Also great selection of ice cream, we got cinnamon and banana pudding and both were great (latter was better). Seating indoors and out. Also had a water sports area, 10 minutes for $10. Well designed inside and great small souvenirs area too. Attendant was kind enough to let us use her stool for extra seating. Definitely a return visit next time we come to OBX!

Super nice service, very quiet and small place with very nice prices compared to other shops near by. They also had a few dairy free options which was great and it wasn’t just chocolate, it was mint and Oreo and it was delicious

They have regular ice cream served in cones or cups, soft serve, milk shakes, and lots of toppings available. There’s only one picnic table available inside for seating, but there are benches outside. Souvenirs are inside. We enjoyed our ice cream and frozen yogurt.

We tried the key lime and strawberry shortcake flavors, and they were incredible, both on their own and together. The key lime had a bold, refreshing flavor that tasted just like pie, perfectly balanced without being too sour. The strawberry shortcake captured that true shortcake vibe, and the cake-to-ice cream ratio was absolutely spot on.
