Coast Sushi Bar in Wicker Park is everything I remember, and then some. The sushi and seafood appetizers are phenomenal, the service is divine, and they now have a liquor license! I’m so happy that I was able to enjoy a nice meal on their 20th anniversary, on a Saturday night in Chicago. The Angry Salmon Appetizer and the Firecracker Roll were absolutely perfect! How I miss this city! And a special thanks to my amazing server, Ricardo!

Met a friend for dinner here on a Thursday evening. I haven’t been here since before 2020, they now only have one section of the restaurant, it’s not as big as it used to be but the quality of the food is still the same. We got the edamame as an appetizer and 6 rolls for dinner and mango and chocolate mochi for dessert. Everything was so good and the server was very friendly.

Coast is a great place, and it’s BYOB. The sushi is very fresh, and every roll packed with flavor. The service is impeccable and super friendly. I would highly recommend going and taking a great bottle of wine that pairs well with sushi. I gave the atmosphere three stars because it’s very bland in the place. The walls are bare, and there isn’t a theme or any that makes it warm. From the outside, it looks very mediocre. But, don’t judge a book by its cover.

My husband and I went here for my first Sushi experience. The service was amazing, the atmosphere is nice and it’s BYOB. My husband absolutely loved the sushi I found out that I am more of a thoroughly cooked food person. If you are a sushi person this is definitely a must try!

Like many, Coast has risen their prices. However, their price increase is 30-40% higher than every other sushi restaurant in the city. Needless to say, we just picked up a $140 order and there were NO chopsticks. This isn’t something that most people have laying around and sushi is not the same with a fork. Completely disappointed and even went back and checked their online ordering system to make sure we weren’t supposed to check a box or “order” the chopsticks.

Awesome sushi. If you are in the area you should check it out. Ask the servers what’s on special. They had a few different cuts of salmon when we were there and the one they recommended was excellent.
