We stopped in for lunch while visiting Havre de Grace. The food and service were good. We had the crab dip appetizer, the French dip sandwich and fish sandwich.

Have been going here for years, last three times has been not good at all. We gave it the third chance and it’s our last chance for Coakleys. Mix drinks were horrible, margaritas tasted like dish water! Jack and cokes were weak, draft beers were off and not as cold. Other mix drinks our regular party had were also horrible and sent back! Food, usually they have great cream of crab soup, well it to was horrible and tasted like flour bisquick mud. Burgers were fair but cold, fried pickles over fried and hard. Not sure what happened at Coakleys, worst experience ever, service was not as good as it use to be. Thre strike, were done! Also notice place was not as clean as it use to be. Not sure if staff issues, manager issues our group decided last night, never again! Spending around $98 a couple was a complete disappointment and waste. Don’t waste your time or money!!!!!!

Decently busy on a Sunday afternoon, but still some open seats and tables for a late lunch. Nobody behind bar for the first 5 minutes I sat there, but they came in from a smoke break and asked for my drink right away. Heavy heavy smell of smoke at first and then on and off for the rest of my stay. Really good cream of crab, heavier than most, but good flavor. Crab cake was delicious with big pieces of crab and perfectly cooked. Fries were a little soft for my liking, but not too bad. Decent cole sale. Overall pretty good food, but the smoke smell really brought down the whole meal. Good beers on tap.

Unfortunately this is a negative review,
When walking in it didn’t seem to busy around 2:00 pm. After being seated about 10-15 minutes went by with waitresses walking past and not even acknowledging us siting there. No “hello I be right with you” or anyone even offering to take our drink orders not even offering waters
The waitresses went to every table around ours but never even looked at ours some how they were oblivious to two people waiting with menus and no drinks or silverware on the table.
After attempting to get one of the staffs attention and them walking right past us we finally we got up and left, the hosting staff not even taking notice to is walking out.
Now I could see if this was a extremely busy time and a packed space but this time of the day was very low key and there no reason customers should be waiting with no acknowledgement or drink offers for that long its completely unacceptable for a restaurant of its age and “status” in the community.
We ended up leaving and walking up the road to a well known family owned pizza shop that was pretty busy but as soon as we sat down we were offered water and our drink order was taken and 5 mins later our food order.
Some how its has been easier to get service at Coakley’s on a busy Friday /Saturday bar night then a low key Sunday afternoon.

Checking on us enough to make sure we had what we needed but not overdoing it. Alex’s Very friendly demeanor made it pleasant lunch for both me and my partner. We go there often and the team we always have is good but Alex was great today. Thanks for a good experience. The cream of crab and crab dip as always super delicious.

Unfortunately, my wife and I waited 15ish minutes to be served (or acknowledged) after being seated before we left. Other couples who came in after were served first. We hope this wasn’t due to us being the only mixed race (or non-white) couple in the place, but it left a poor impression either way.

Went back again today new server for us Jaime again great experience food was totally yummy, except the French fries but they did let me trade them for waffle fries which were great. Would definitely go back again
