I had a great waitress. I am a vegetarian and they have WAY more options than on the website menu. I highly recommend coming during Christmas time and see the Holly Jolly tasteful decore. They also have a specialized “Holiday cocktail list” I got the French Martini.

We chose this location specifically because we were hunger for steak and because it’s a family owned business. Great customer service and attentive staff. We lived the dinner salad service which you’ll be able to view in my videos. The steak was a top 10 filet. Nicely flavored and perfectly cooked. The mushroom sauce on the side was very tasty and worth dipping your steak in. Baked potatoes were cooked as per expectations. Every sauce and dressing is made in house and that is probably the reason for noticeable flavor quality. Atmosphere could be updated a bit, feels very late 70’s, but for a steak house it works and has a nostalgic charmed to it. Overall it was a quality steak experience, quality customer interaction and we loved everything we ate. I would recommend this business and would come back the next time I’m in the Roanoke area.

Wonderful first dinner in Roanoke My husband had the amazing salad to start (see picture) and then we both had prime rib. I had mine with sweet potato and coleslaw and my husband with a baked potato. We are gigantic steak lovers and we both felt that this was our favorite prime rib yet, so meaty and well cooked, covered in au jus. My husband would have came back a second time, but unfortunately it was closed for the Memorial Day holiday.
Julie also provided spectacular service with a passion, you could tell she had been doing this for quite some time and loved her job
Atmosphere was very quiet to allow dinner conversation.
Highly recommend

Very quaint and rustic. Old charm and great service. The service is amazing and food is excellent. Their world-famous salad is fun, they bring. plate of lettuce and then the server has a plate that you choose all your toppings. A tableside salad bar. My Wienerschnitzel was nice and tender. The little Swedish meatballs were great. They even sear the kabobs at your table. Great wine selection. Excellent place, old fashion service, a must try.

Although a very busy restaurant our service was excellent and the food delicious. It is family friendly and the children around us were all well behaved! I will eat here again when back in the area. We did have reservations and they were necessary.

I’m confused why there are so many highly rated local guide reviews on here. Can’t help but wonder if they are bought reviews. Parking was difficult, it was very noisy and hard to hear, the waitress was kind but kept interrupting us with all kinds of odd questions, service was not comparable to the price, the food was horrendous (over cooked scallops, oyster that tasted rotten, no seasoning or flavor on anything, cold, poor quality), and to top if off my friend ended up getting transported via ambulance from the restaurant to the ER with food poisioning from the oyster she ate. I hate to leave a bad review anywhere, especially when the people were nice, but I would absolutely never consider going back. Please proceed with caution.

We got the Prime Rib and “the Oscar” filet mignon special. We got the bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes, and meatballs for appetizers. The main course is a 10/10 as always. You won’t find a better prime rib in Southwest Virginia and that is a guarantee. We come here often and the review is a 5 star for each occasion. Atmosphere is very classic-dine.

We had a wonderful Wednesday night dinner at Coach and Four. Super friendly and attentive staff. The french onion soup was delicious. My husband got the prime rib and lobster tail, and I got the chicken parm. HUGE portions and both were really, really good! Enjoyed the cozy, dimly lit interior on a winter evening – a bit dated BUT thats the vibe and it honestly felt like we were taken back in time… think your grandpa’s favorite steakhouse that stands the test of time! Looking forward to going back and crossing my fingers for a baked alaska next time

Just had Thanksgiving dinner at Coach & Four. I cannot adequately describe the poor quality of this meal, but I think it would suffer in comparison to a Swanson TV dinner. Their Thanksgiving meal consisted of a tossed salad of iceberg lettuce with two cherry tomatoes, a piece of turkey loaf (the slice folded in half in an effort to conceal the fact that it’s a circle of compressed turkey product) lying on top of a spoonful of Stove Top (or some other boxed product) stuffing, a tablespoon or so of runny instant mashed potatoes, a scrap of canned ham, green beans, a teaspoonful of sweet potatoes, a Sister Schubert’s yeast roll, and a slice of boxed pumpkin pie with a teaspoon of whipped cream. When I asked if they could hold the ham, our server told me that all the plates had already been made up, which is pretty interesting. She never inquired about our opinion of the meal, but as we were leaving, I did tell her that the food was bad, but I appreciated her good service, and I assured her that she would not see the poor food quality reflected in her tip. (I tipped 25% because of her upbeat, friendly service and the fact that she was working on a holiday.) She replied, “Really?! Everyone else is loving it!” I can’t imagine that too many people were excited about turkey loaf and instant potatoes, but there’s no accounting for tastes. I also ordered a watery cocktail (supposedly rum, peach Schnapps, cranberry and orange juices) for which they charged $13.95. With tip, my bill came out to be just over $80. I volunteered at RAM House this morning, serving Thanksgiving lunch, and that meal was far superior to this one in every respect. I’m not a Coach and Four regular, and I only made a reservation there because all other local restaurants were booked. This meal would not encourage me to try it again. Sub-K & W Cafeteria quality for eight times the K & W price. Never again.

Wonderful birthday dinner this afternoon with Ashley as our waitress. She was so personable and attentive.
The meal was delicious. The ambiance of the room was so warm and inviting. Will definitely go again soon.
My husband had the prime rib and lobster tail. I had the broiled seafood platter.
Everything was perfect.
