This was our first time and the place was packed on a Sunday night. Our chips and salsa came out right away. We ordered Guacamole as an appetizer. It was bland. I had to ask for salt and pepper, lime and hot sauce to fix their Guac!! My boyfriend and I shared the Loco Burrito because it was massive. We upgraded it to a carne asada for an additional $6. On presentation, it’s beautiful to look at and impressive. The taste was not there and the carne asada was barely there. There was a brown sauce on the burrito that was not good. If ordering it, thread the brown sauce off. When we were done eating it took a bit for to get the check, and they charged us for the hot sauce! Lol I had a lemonade, the guacamole app, and a lock burrito with carne asada and our bill was $60 plus tip. In my opinion it wasn’t worth the price. Not sure if would go back. The atmosphere was good, and their drinks looked good, but I was in call at the hospital, so I could not partake.

The food is incredible I had fish tacos. My friend had 2 appys that were amazing as well. But the best part of our experience was our server , I dont know his name but he absolutely incredible. Friendly helpful just a super cheerful person. We came from Canada and will definitely go back when we do Bellingham again. Well worth going to this incredible Mexican place to eat.

Super busy Saturday evening, they had one solo bartop spot just for me with a hefty wait list for dining seating. Hostess was the sweetest and checked for a spot and seated me at the FCFS bar.
Quickest service from complimentary chips and salsa to the reco of the caddy vs the skinny – however, they list using agave in the margarita menu which is what I was looking for. Pretty caddy I’ve ever seen and the taste matched the esthetic!
It was def busy and packed upstairs and down but the trendy buzz in here makes for a place you want to be! Birthdays, dates, family dinners – the place for conscious and delicious food, pretty and amazing drinks, and vibe to draw you back!

The food was cold and tasteless! I had chicken mole, and it just tasted like cinnamon and a little bit of chocolate, no spice! Everything was lukewarm. Our waiter never came to check on us and we had to wave down another server to ask for some red and green salsa. That was never brought, I’m not sure if they even have it! What someone brought was a very dark sauce that was at least spicy, but had no flavor. When our waiter came i explained my concerns and he did give us a $5 discount.

Food was very tasty and the drinks were yummy, strong, and creative! Got the Tequila Sunrise, 3 tacos (roast pork, beef, and chicken) with rice and beans, and a cheese quesadilla. We also had enough to have left overs.
They clearly mark the vegan and gluten free options and actually we made a mistake because of that. We saw the quesadilla was gluten free but didn’t read it was flour and we could ask for gluten free so we misunderstood. But they were so understanding and gave us 5% which we feel really shows they care about their food and the experience they offer!!

The owners are so welcoming! They work along side very friendly staff to make sure u r taken care of. U can taste the luv & care in every dish/beverage. We drive over an hour each way to this little gem Thx A&I for great service every time.

Now that I’ve eaten three meals here, my initial enthusiasm has faded a little, but COA is still a very good restaurant in my mind. Not the most flavorful and not the *most* vegetarian friendly (that honor goes to El Gitano because they have tofu on the menu) but there are some good options. The cocktails are spectacular, particularly the house margarita and the tequila sunrise. Staff are always pleasant and service is consistently excellent.
