We hosted my mom’s 70th birthday celebration at Clyde’s of Clarksville, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Jerri was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. After many thoughtful conversations while coordinating the event, it truly felt like we became friends. She even came in on her day off to greet us and give us hugs, a kindness that spoke volumes about her care and professionalism.

The evening itself was equally impressive. James, our dedicated server, was polished and attentive, ensuring the night flowed effortlessly. Bryee, the night manager, was present and engaged, and Chef David took the time to personally check on our group, a gracious touch that did not go unnoticed.

The menu was outstanding. The chicken tenders were breaded in house and generously portioned. The catfish was beautifully crisp and flavorful with an impressive portion. Steaks were cooked to perfection, and the burgers were juicy and satisfying. Combined with a warm ambiance and impeccable service, the entire evening felt special and thoughtfully executed. A memorable celebration and a wonderful place to mark a milestone.

This was my Husband and my first time dining at Clyde’s. Today is my Husband’s birthday and all of his familiar favorites were closed.

My search for a local Clarksville restaurant offering a ribeye steak led me right to Clyde’s. I thought I had hit the jackpot-close to home, 14oz ribeye steak on their website menu with great reviews, and somewhere new to try. I had read mixed reviews, but for the most part, the reviews on the ribeye were positive.

I reserved a table on their website (very user friendly), marked that it was for my husband’s birthday (because sometimes they’ll mention it when dining, to make it more personalized), they didn’t (which is fine, of course, and I’m not sure if the restaurant staff sees that or not, but would’ve been a nice touch-no biggie, just some feedback).

When we got to the restaurant, the hostess was very friendly and attentive, the space was much larger than expected and decorated beautifully. I mentioned we had made a reservation (it wasn’t busy, but I didn’t want them to hold a table, thinking we didn’t show). I was also hoping for acknowledgment of his birthday, again not a deal breaker, just a mention. The hostess addressed us by name from the reservation and asked if a booth would be fine, which it was, our favorite! She led us over to a huge U shaped bench table, which offered plenty of room and was comfortable.

Our waitress, I didn’t catch her name was very friendly and attentive.

Upon reviewing the menu, my Husband mentioned how they did not have a ribeye steak (we had not talked prior, I just know that is his favorite cut). I didn’t believe him, because I had checked prior, both on the website menu and the FB account page, even reading a post from a customer asking if the new menu had rolled out and the moderator saying no, not yet.

That was a major disappointment, since that was the catalyst of picking Clyde’s in the first place. My husband also enjoys shrimp cocktail, so I ordered it from the bar menu in place of an appetizer. The shrimp were large, as described, but were bland and overly chewy, the cocktail sauce had a distinct taste I can’t quite put my finger on, but not your typical cocktail sauce. Not to my liking, but that is subjective. My husband bit into one and immediately was turned off by the over-doneness and overall taste. Another fail. I ate a few, partially to justify the cost and partly to try and remain positive, but we ultimately did not finish or take it home.

When it came time to order, I chose the NY strip and my husband chose a steak sandwich. The food came out quickly, not too quickly from the appetizer, it was spaced just right- kudos to our waitress.

My steak was cooked perfectly, but there was a lot of fat and unseasoned. The garlic herb mashed potatoes were ok, the seasonal veggies, squash and zucchini were good. Overall for me, it was just ok – I had to ask for salt and pepper as they weren’t provided on the table. Our waitress did however bring out very nice wooden mills for both upon request.

My husband enjoyed his french fries, but remarked that they tasted very much like fries from Checkers-he ate all of them (win!). He ate almost half of one half of the sandwich and stopped there. He described it as bland, badly needing seasoning and overall thought it didn’t taste like steak. Another fail.

I took some to go boxes of my steak and sides, mostly because I don’t like to waste food & especially for the price.

Ultimately, my Husband was not impressed and probably won’t visit again, at least not anytime soon. We made the most of the night, but it was a bummer for me, as I thought this would be a great meal.

I’ve heard good things about lunch from friends, the reviews, while mixed, seemed optimistic, but this visit sadly, just fell short.

PROs: Atmosphere was great, not too loud, nice layout and the deck (while we stayed indoors) looked nice. Hostess and waitress were both friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and evenly-spaced between courses.

CONs: Menu discrepancy. No acknowledgment of occasion. Food taste.

Food wasn’t bad at all, just wasn’t overly spectacular. I’m pretty strict about handing out 4 or 5 stars when it comes to food. I think we would definitely go back to try something else. Where they lacked on flavor, their service was top notch! Very friendly and attentive. Jocelyn was awesome
We love the astetics of the place! If you haven’t been, go. If it’s been awhile, go again! We intend to

The restaurant was very nice looking and clean, it was freezing cold inside though, to the point that we kept our jackets on. Bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Waitress was great. Now for the food, the chicken tenders were good except one tender which was rubbery and dry and not like the others. The fries have an awesome seasoning but they are the battered type fries which are not our favorite but they were fine if you like that type of fry. Burger was mid, not bad but not the best and would not specifically come back for the burger. The charcuterie board was super disappointing, it didn’t look at all like the ones pictured in the reviews. The bread that came with it is some sort of a garlic bread crouton, it was rock hard and tasted like when you leave garlic bread out overnight and it becomes stale lol. That is the only type of bread or cracker that you get, the rest was fatty meats like salami and pepperoni, a few slices of cheeses like cheddar and Swiss , candied almonds( they were delicious), a few olives, grapes and blueberries, a little bowl of raspberry sauce( was I supposed to put this sauce on the garlic bread?) a bowl of crumbled up goat/feta cheese, and a scoop of pimiento cheese which was actually really good but again, only had the stale crouton bread to put it on and the richness of the cheese combined with the saltiness/flavor of the crouton was overpowering and just didn’t work. I would not order it again, unless they added some leaner meats like turkey and had softer/ plain breads and crackers to put the meat and cheese spreads on.

I had a delicious lunch yesterday at Clyde’s. My salad was fresh and flavorful, but the service was the standout. Our server, Jen, was incredibly efficient, respectful, professional, and extremely friendly. Her amazing attitude made for a very nice experience. Thank you again, Jen! We will definitely be back.

Very clean and modern inside. Felt very welcome. Morgan was our waitress and she was lovely. Very attentive and kind. The food was flavorful and hot. We got the charcuterie board, Clyde’s burger, and salmon. The charcuterie board was big enough for 4 people so for just 2 it was plenty. All of the food was very worth it. Burger was juicy, and salmon was fresh and flavorful. Overall I would highly recommend Clyde’s restaurant for any occasion

Go here for Sunday brunch! You won’t regret it. Opens at 1000AM Sundays. There was no line – by 1100AM it started to get busy, so recommend going early.

Full bar, kids menu, and a good range of hearty breakfast/brunch items. Reasonable prices, with high dollar choices for steak breakfast lovers. Took my two kids with me, they order adult entrees. With drinks it was all under 60$ for the three of us – absolutely worth it.

Chicken & Waffles and the Clydes Breakfast platter were both enjoyable. It would be hard to leave still hungry after ordering anything off the brunch entrée menu.

Being my ladies and mine first experience, this restaurant is so cozy and relaxing! Great music and reasonable prices. Our hostess Jeri (SP) was warm hearted in her greeting us. Our waitress Jen was very knowledgeable about recommending items on a very simplistic menu, and when the food arrived EVERYTHING was perfect and delicious! Great job to the chefs and employees of Clydes! Keep up the great work!!

I really loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. The menu had options I hadn’t seen before and had to try the steak sandwich with fries. Our server Amanda was excellent and took her time explaining some options and also told us about the chef which I will meet on my next visit

Everything was almost fantastic but just wasn’t quite there. Of the entire meal, I think I liked the buffalo cauliflower the best. A lot of the items on our entree plates were lukewarm/cold. I will say we were right in the rush during a Friday night, but it was still disappointing. Everything was ok on flavor, but I don’t think I would have had the half chicken again because the white meat was dry.
