Some really cool drinks. Very tasty, the bird of paradise comes in a funky bird cup.
Food was excellent and nice and spicy. Had a sprimp and scallop appetizer, a duck dish and lamb sloppy Joe for mains, not the actual names. I really enjoyed the sloppy Joe style dish it had the perfect amount of spice for me, pretty hot for most people.

Will try and go again sometime.

This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in Vancouver, Canada.
From the start, the service was extremely poor. We waited nearly 20 minutes just to receive cutlery. No one offered us water, and we felt completely ignored. When we asked why everything was taking so long, they told us they only had one chef, so it would take time. That is understandable to some extent, but the restaurant should manage expectations properly — especially if it presents itself as fine dining.
The food was unacceptable. The paneer was undercooked and tasted terrible. We sent it back, and they took it to the kitchen to “cook it again.” When it came back, it was still undercooked and not edible. The rotis and naan were served cold and poorly prepared. Everything felt rushed and poorly managed.
The experience was so bad that we actually left and went to another restaurant afterward just to have a proper meal.
Very disappointing. Poor service, poorly cooked food, and not worth the money at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is my favourite Indian fine dining restaurant. Great location close to home. The atmosphere is gorgeous, they make amazing drinks and mock tails to cater to everyone. Every dish I have had here is beyond great. The dessert was my favourite. cheesecake and I usually don’t like any cheesecake. If you have not tried this place out, definitely do that. You won’t regret it.

My visit to Clove – The Art of Dining was very disappointing. The food was extremely bland and lacked proper seasoning. Almost everything tasted the same and none of the dishes had any real flavor. On top of that, the dishes themselves were inconsistent — the presentation and colors looked faded and unappealing, making the whole meal feel like a total disaster.

The atmosphere was also very poor, and the restaurant even smelled unpleasant, which made the experience worse. The customer service was very bad as well. The staff rarely checked on the table, and I actually had to get up and find a waiter myself to request more food that should have been brought to the table.

What made the experience even more frustrating was that the prices were higher than many normal restaurants, yet the quality of the food and service was far below average. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the cost.

Went on a recommendation by a friend. It didnt disappoint in the matter of food. Although the washrooms could use some overseeing and cleaning. Also the samples we got for Lagers werent good and the glasses werr dirty and sticky.
Got Lasooni Paneer Tikka for Starters with soem Stella and Ceaser. It was really good and paneer was very soft. For Mains we got Malai Kofta and Garlic Naan which again were delicious.. Quanity and Qulaity is better.
Finally for dessert we got the Berrylicious-signature dish which was something new and a must try atleast once. Very innovative. Servers were pleasant as well.
Place is surely recommended based on food.

I waited two days before writing this review to give the restaurant a chance to resolve the issue.

We chose this place for a “fine dining” experience, especially since it promotes itself as the “art of fine dining.” We dined on Saturday (Valentine’s weekend), so we expected it to be busy and service to be slightly slower — but we did not expect what happened.

Reservation: 7:30 PM
Seated: 7:45 PM

At 8:00 PM, we placed our order for pre-appetizers, appetizers, and drinks.

From there, everything went downhill:
• 8:20 PM – We received cutlery (a pile of forks on a plate, no napkins or proper setup).
• 8:30 PM – Only 2 of 6 appetizers arrived. We also finally received water.
• 8:35 PM – Pre-appetizers arrived (after reminding the server).
• 8:40 PM – 2 more appetizers arrived.
• 8:45 PM – The final 2 appetizers arrived.
• 8:50 PM – Our drinks arrived — after multiple reminders.
Decided to leave right after the drinks arrived, worst drinks ever!

The timing was completely off. Pre-appetizers came after appetizers. Drinks arrived nearly 50 minutes after ordering.

The biggest issue, however, was the salmon. It smelled bad and tasted bad. Salmon is my favorite dish — I know what properly prepared salmon tastes like. This was not it. On top of that, the serving container was chipped, which is unacceptable for any restaurant claiming to be ‘the fine dining’.

2 of the drinks didn’t came how they were supposed to come. One was supposed to come with some sort of smoke for the smokey flavour and it didn’t come with that. When we asked the server she said the glass literally just broke but still I had to pay full for the drink.

We decided not to order a main course.

When we informed the server about the salmon, her response was that “the kitchen won’t accept that it’s bad because we just got it 15 minutes before I served you.” That explanation made no sense. Was it improperly marinated? Was it cooked from frozen? Either way, the quality was unacceptable.

We asked to speak with a manager. The server told us she was the manager but did not have authorization to remove the salmon or drinks from the bill. She offered a discount for “next time.” There was no incentive for a next time.

We paid the full bill and left, intending to follow up the next day.

The following day, I called. The person I spoke to knew exactly which table we were and said someone would call back within an hour. No one did.

I called again on Monday and spoke to the same server. This time, I was told I couldn’t receive a refund because I “should have said something that night” — even though that same night she claimed she had no authority to adjust the bill. Regarding the salmon, she changed her explanation and said it was marinated 15 minutes before my order. That only raises more questions — salmon marinated for 15 minutes?

She again promised a callback within 15 minutes. No one called. When I called back yet again, I was told someone would call me “ASAP.”

And legends say I will forever be waiting on that ASAP call and a resolution.

I will gladly update this review if someone from management actually reaches out and offer us refund for the food that we shouldn’t have paid in the first place. Things happen, it’s all about how you resolve the issues when they happen.

We enjoyed our dinner! Elegant interior, staff was friendly and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and surprisingly filling. Three mains were enough for the three of us. The Surrey mess dessert is well worth it, just for the theatrics. The cocktails were awesome!

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. We went on Valentine’s Day expecting a special evening, but everything from start to finish was disappointing. When we arrived, no one was at reception. Even though we had a reservation, we were asked to wait and then seated at an uncomfortable table in the middle with no flowers or candles, while every other table was decorated. I eventually had to move myself to a side table that actually had a candle and flowers.

We waited over 20 minutes and no one even served us water. Only when we stood up to leave did staff finally come and take our order. Service continued to be extremely slow. When the food arrived, the shrimp was served in a bowl with a broken edge, and the inside of the bowl looked messy and not presentable at all. This is not something you would serve guests at home, let alone in a restaurant where customers are paying.

Our drinks were forgotten until we reminded them, and our order was also brought incorrectly. We drove all the way from Abbotsford expecting a memorable Valentine’s dinner, but instead it turned into a frustrating experience for both of us. We were told they were short-staffed, but that is not a customer’s responsibility.

To top it off, at the end my husband still added a tip, and the waitress herself said, “It’s okay, leave it sir,” because she knew how badly we had been served.

I’m also attaching photos of the broken bowl edge for reference. I’m sharing this so others don’t waste their money on this dining experience or risk spoiling their special occasions here. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was completely empty on a Friday evening, yet the service was extremely slow. It also smelled unpleasant when we walked in. The paneer dish was hard and chewy, clearly not fresh. For a group of six, a large gratuity was automatically added despite the poor service. The washrooms were dirty and had no toilet paper. I called to speak to a manager afterward and never received a response. Nice ambiance, but the food, service, and upkeep were not worth it. Save your money and DINE somewhere else!!!
