I’m perfectly fine paying more for good food, but the quality here does not match the price. I got a matcha latte with almond milk today which rang up to nearly $7. On first sip it tasted a bit musky so I assumed they might have burnt the matcha. Okay fine, it’s a coffee shop so whatever. I asked the counter for a bit of regular simple syrup and they didn’t know what that was and kept asking me what syrup flavor. The female barista asked if I just wanted sugar packets instead, pushed them into my hand and said “we don’t have stirrers so you can just use a straw to mix it in”. The taste kept getting worse as I kept sipping over time so I poured out the drink to find coffee grounds at the bottom of my cup. Not really sure what the brown smears in the cup are either. Before I left the shop I overheard the female barista say “I make really good matcha”. I can’t say I agree with that and I don’t recommend coming here for the matcha specifically.

Hidden gem in Edison. CLO Coffee has amazing coffee and some of the best matcha I’ve had in the area. The space is calm, clean, and has a great vibe whether you’re trying to get some work done or meet up with friends. It’s the kind of spot you can sit in for a while without feeling rushed.
Ralph and Jen are amazing and super present business owners. You can tell they genuinely care about the space, the quality of what they serve, and the people who walk through the door. Quality drinks, great atmosphere, and a real community feel. Definitely worth checking out.

Stopped in for a quick coffee and although it took awhile to get, the coffee was great! They do a pour over for cold brew which is what took awhile but worth the wait!

The staff here are warm and welcoming. The staff mentioned the Macchaito is european style not the usual latte style available in other places I’ve tried before. The Cappacino was on point. If you like coffee as is not overly sweet this is the place for you. I ordered a Everything Bagel croissant and Almond croissant which were perfect and not overly greasy. Everything bagel croissant had the perfect amount of cheese filling not the chessy kind but the Ricotta/Feta kind. Its a perfect spot with calming atmosphere and nice music on the background for a date to or just to unwind.

This is a cute little coffee place located in a very peaceful and quiet locality. The ambience inside is very cozy.
We ordered a cortado and a matcha latte. They were very good. They also have some options in croissants. We ordered a couple of them and they were actually quite tasty. However, they don’t have a system to warm them up. So if you’re getting one of the croissants, I’d recommend that you do take out and warm them up.
Also, they have a printer one can use for printing documents. Highly surprising.

LOVE this spot. Might be one of my new favorite coffee shops. Super chic from the outside and the aesthetic inside is perfect. Coffee tastes delicious and the team working there is so nice and helpful! Really enjoyed chilling there with my coffee. Will definitely be back!
Now for my standard COVID comments as of May 2022. No one is wearing masks but it still felt comfortable in there for me personally. Wasn’t too crowded and the seating is pretty comfortable.

I really like their speciality drinks. The coffee is good and the flavors really carry through. The cup for the iced drinks are small and unique, which is quite cute.

Come for the coffee, stay for the company. CLO has become my favorite spot to study for the atmosphere, lively chatter, and the ability to meet new people. Not to mention the absolutely perfect (and beautiful) coffee everytime! Take a few minutes to stop in (it takes time to make Good Coffee) and you won’t regret it!
Just a tip— can get pretty busy (for good reason) so bring headphones if you need to get work done. A great spot for a date as well!

Great coffee shop! The barista recommended the mocha coconut latte and it was delicious. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quiet enough to get work done. They also have a small closed-off space to use for phone calls if needed. I’ll definitely be back especially when I need to study or get work done. Definitely recommend this place!
