Had a 2 day trip to Louisville and always try to support local (by checking Google reviews of course). By the time we arrived the selection was small but WOW! Donuts are delicious! Almost a creamy texture to them. Wanted some filing in a few of them and they actually fill them for you on the spot! The cashier (owner?) was so kind and patient and the price was super reasonable!! A hidden gem off Brownsboro in the Clifton Heights area. Easily one of the top five donut shops in all of Louisville. The donuts are light and airy without being greasy. Lots of fun flavors and they add the filling right then and there when you order. Great donuts, great service. Highly recommend!

I am having trouble being objective about this because the donuts are so good! I like to think I have tried some of the best donuts in the world after traveling all over it. We always search for something local, and when we found Clifton, we knew we had found some place special! We kind of judge a place on their ability to make an apple fritter. This is on my top three list in the world! Every single donut we ate was fantastic, and their coffee was good too. We can’t wait to get back again! Every time we come through Louisville, we stop at Clifton Donut Shop, and we always have a good experience. Fresh and delicious every time, and the breakfast sandwiches are a new favorite.

Amazing place!
This place has gotten more recognition over time, and they deserve it. Staff is so friendly and can spot regulars. The donuts are amazing. I typically go for tronuts or a cinnamon twist. The dough is still light and fluffy and has a great taste. I also go for the bacon egg and cheese croissant. The egg is cooked to perfection. I love this place so much I definitely recommend trying it when you’re in the area.

Best donut shop in Louisville. Very reasonable and fresh, light n airy donuts that basically melt in you mouth. Tro-Nut is my favorite (their take on a cronut) and for $1.09 you can’t be at it. I ate an entire dozen of donut holes otw to work by myself.. make sure you get there early because when their fresh I couldn’t find a better donut.. 6/5 stars

Donuts were good but they were on the smaller side. I liked that the donuts were all labeled and you could have the long John’s (chocolate bars) filled how you like (white or Bavarian cream). Decent shop but donuts could be bigger!

Very good donuts if you like light and fluffy donuts. Glazed donuts are extra glazed and sweet. We ordered the fritter (see below), a frosted strawberry yeast, and some donut holes. The strawberry and donut holes were light and sweet, and the strawberry tasted real and not fake.
The shop is small but the owner was very nice and very friendly. I definitely felt good about buying here.
For those who like fritters, this one is slightly above average. It is light and flaky, similar to their donuts, but not too sweet. The apple flavor was underwhelming. The price was average.
