The food was delicious. Worth the wait. There seemed to be only one server for the entire restaurant, but she was very friendly and positive. Bus-staff was helpful and attentive. Martini was served a la 007- shaken rather than stirred and “a twist” was 4 mini olives. Oh well. It still complimented the steak. The bananas/ice cream/ almonds dessert was fantastic!

Had an amazing brunch at one of my favorite hotels in Ventura. The shoals’ restaurant is a hidden gem beautiful beach view. Amazing food. Great service and is very affordable. If you want to impress a girl this is the place to visit.

I love this place, it’s so quaint and charming, sits right on the Cliffside. The ocean is right beside you as you dine. Food is always good, and the staff is so very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Salmon on a bed of rice, topped with artichoke and lemon drizzle, huevis ranchers and the organic mixed greens salad. Been craving it since.

We always spend our Anniversary here, as well as many other couples. It doesn’t get much better overlooking the ocean and Chanel Islands. Excellent good and the price is fair too.

Wife and I stayed here last weekend 4/30/22-5/2/22 and we were absolutely blown away with the ocean view we had which is why this spot gets an outstanding rating. The room accommodations were adequate, comfortable bed, fridge, TV., we did not take part in the restaurant that is attached to the place but it seemed to stay busy and it has a good rating plus it has tables right on the water. As you can see from the photos, this place is a real gem!

View of the ocean and pier, with outside dining or inside at the Shoals. If you get there towards midday, it’s sunny and warm enough to sit on the patio. We got there earlier, so had to sit inside. Food was good, but it was the view that wow’d. Be sure to check out the pool with lounge chair view of the waves below. The Cliff House had multiple flower arrangements using their own garden flowers, and you can see one in the fountain photo. Very friendly staff and servers.

This location is literally right off the exit of the freeway. So as you enter the hotel, to the left is the freeway and to the left of the freeway is the amtrak and the mountains. To the right of the hotel, there’s the ocean. Parking is HORRIBLE. We were so lucky that there was literally 1 spot left and the parking spot was a tight one. They have a few extra spots but are ONLY for the restaurant.

Good clam chowder although mine was like warm. Still, fast service at the end of the evening and although it was late, they gave me a table and fed me. Outdoor seating by the pool with kids playing and splashing so not exactly serene, but not unpleasant.
