The food was pretty good. Can’t remember exactly what I had. I do remember that I thought the refried beans were really good. Flan was fairly good too. Would have liked it better without chocolate sauce. My son’s sopapilla was really good.

UPDATE-March 1st, 2022:
I went to our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant, Casa Mexicana in Bloomer WI, and ordered 2 different combination plates for our lunch today. As always Pepe, the owner, was very happy to see me, we talked a little bit, and then I placed my order. It was ready in less than 15 minutes.
If you like Mexican food, then I recommend that you give Casa Mexicana in Bloomer WI a try.

Saw so many positive and negative reviews I had to find out for myself. I was greeted with the chlorine odor some have talked about but after a few minutes it passed and I’m guessing it’s the cleaner they use. It was not dirty at all. Perhaps I have lower standards, but it was a very culturally accurate and enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and we enjoyed strawberry margaritas! Free chips and salsa were offered and the service is wonderful.
The only negative was that our service dog was not allowed in. I think that’s against the law to refuse, but we didn’t make it a big deal. we just had an appetizer and enjoyed our drinks.
The menu is extensive and traditional. I can see why people come back and enjoy it. I do not see why there are so many negative reviews so I encourage everyone to give it a try if you’re on the fence.

Over the years I have always come here from out of town to eat. They have been very friendly in the past and wonderful people. My wife and I went there for our birthday and had a terrible experience. It was cold in the building but not as cold as the service we received. This time the owner and cook were extremely rude. We asked for sugar on margaritas and was ignored. The owner was very quick and short with us. The cook refused to give me a side of cheese sauce and spicy brown sauce stating we already had it on there. I wanted extra. Idk what got into the place but cause my wife and I a terrible lunch for our birthday. I am extremely disappointed in how the place is now. I gave an extra start for past experiences but honestly this experience is 0 stars

I’m not one to write reviews but I must say this was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. While walking through the restaurant it was extremely dirty. When we are sat we asked for a margarita blended. The server brought the margarita not blended and no ice in it. Walked away right away and when we brought it up to the server they said the blender wasn’t working. Which I thought they would inform us of that. After we received our food, the food was tasteless. The guacamole was extremely browned, the sour cream tasted like it was bad, and the ground beef wasn’t done and was extremely pink.( I don’t mind pink hamburger but that’s not everyone’s go to.) The server was on their phone FaceTiming and talking extremely loud close to where we were eating. Which I find a little annoying. They didn’t check up on us on anything. Once we payed we walked outside and the cook came out and just stared at us angrily as we drove away. I’m extremely disappointed about the service and the overall experience of this restaurant. I will not be coming back here. I hope others have a better experience.

We loved this restaurant. The beans were best ever, and the Steak Bloomer was to die for. Servings were too large; but leftovers were good for supper the next day. New date night restaurant for us. Very fast service, too!
