The CLB as the locals refer to it has recently (last two years) has changed hands making it a more modern establishment and not the local bar with memories of its local patrons on the bar. Does this make the place less of an attraction, not in my opinion, but it did change the vibe. The owners work there, which brings a level of customer service that is needed, IMO, so that it will stay a local friendly bar. The food that I ate there was very good bar far as well. The CLB does not have much competition, and any place wanting to establish itself will find it hard to compete with them.

Had a group of 20 here a week ago and everything was phenomenal. The owners Bob and Brent are good, down to earth people who make sure everybody is enjoying themselves. Our server hunter was excellent per usual as we come back to clear lake bar at least once per year. The food is always great and the beer is always cold. The staff is very friendly and is exceptional at what they do. Highly recommend this place to eat/drink.

I was there on July 15th and had the worst experience, horrible experience, food was cold, forgot our soup, messed up both dinners, catcup bottle exploded all over my clothes, my hair, the table behind us, the floor, no compassion from the staff or management, left there with sticky hair and stained clothes and paid $75 for dinner that I didn’t get and the restaurant still hasn’t acknowledged me, I am in the service industry and I could never treat my customers this way
