Just for the winter, Clean Slate Eatery is open Thursday -Saturday to feature their James Beard Pastry chef semi-finalist, Whitney Stancil! The menu includes some savory options. We enjoyed everything. It’ worth every penny. Each dish is curated, including the desserts. Don’t miss this gem!

I went to Clean Slate Eatery last winter and I’m still thinking about the meal. The food was absolutely unreal every course was so thoughtful, creative, and full of flavor. I also have a few dietary restrictions, and they handled them with so much care and grace that I never once felt like an inconvenience. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had on Cape Cod. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing meal from start to finish! Incredibly innovative and filling prix fixe menu that left us wanting to plan our next trip just to return! On top of that, the service was amazing with Jason, Amanda, and Danielle walking us through each dish and even giving us some of the extra homemade sourdough focaccia (one of the best breads I’ve ever had) to take home.
I hope everyone has a chance to try this awesome restaurant!

This place is not talked about enough! The effort and creativity put into every dish was incomparable to ANY food I’ve ever eaten on the Cape. I am a huge foodie and grew up on the Cape- and can say I have never been in awe multiple times throughout my meal like I was tonight! Service was perfect, courses were outstanding, you can tell the ingredients were fresh- the entire experience was a foodie’s dream. Will be talking about this for the next few months to anyone who will listen.

I had a fair experience at Clean Slate Eatery. The highlights were definitely the service and the atmosphere, both of which I rated at 4 stars; the staff was attentive and the environment was very welcoming. However, the food was a bit more average at 3 stars. Because the meal didn’t quite live up to the high bar set by the service and the setting, my overall impression of the visit lands at a 3-star rating.

Clean slate is BACK!! The most unique and intimate dining experience on the Cape at an affordable price. They offer a 6-course prix fixe menu that changes monthly, making the most of seasonal ingredients so there’s always something new and delicious to come back for. Though I can always count on the incredible parker house rolls and Intermezzo ( IYKYK) to stay on the menu each month. Timing of each dish is spaced out really nicely and the entire meal is about 2.5 hours start to finish. Their team is also very accommodating to allergens and dietary restrictions, just let them know at booking and you’ll be sure to enjoy every bite. Keep up the great work chefs!!

This past weekend, surrounded by some of our favorite humans, we had the most magical dinner party at Clean Slate Eatery in Dennis. This place will blow you away! I’m pretty confident that Executive Chef/Owner Jay and Executive Chef Amanda are actual wizards or geniuses or both. I’ve never had a more satisfying meal. It’s one that I’ll never forget! They offer a prix fixe, six course tasting menu, plus some extra surprises. I still can’t decide which course was my favorite because they were all so incredible. I might say it’s a tie between the hanger steak that absolutely melted in your mouth or the Camembert (Cohoes NY, Goat’s milk, brioche bread pudding, date & orange blossom jam, rosemary). I’m one of those humans who can’t live without cheese. We opted for the wine pairing as well, and it was perfectly executed. We got to try a few whites that we normally wouldn’t have ordered (we are red people ).
If you haven’t been here yet, it is a bucket list, can’t live without kind of experience.
What a truly SPECIAL place with talented, passionate people!
Oh also don’t forget to check out their side hustle, La Tacodilla, which offers THE most mind-blowing tacos that have ever existed!

5-star review on Clean Slate Eatery in West Dennis last night. I didn’t get too many pictures because I really wanted to take in this experience. Menu is a prix fixe, six course tasting menu. We opted for some add-ons (caviar and foie gras) and the wine pairing, too. We went all out and so did Clean Slate. The intimate seating allowed for conversation with the chef as well as great views of him plating our meals right in front of us. Food was delicious – the best course, IMO, was the dayboat scallop with pork belly and 5 spice dashi. It was incredible. Service was amazing, the wine pairing was WELL worth it; we had about 7 half-glasses of wine, even some to pair with our desserts. I have lived on Cape for about 2 years now and finding this level of flavor is tough to find. I highly recommend putting Clean Slate on your list. It is on the expensive end for a night out, so perhaps for a special occasion. Seats fill up quickly since they only have room for about 17 people inside – we were told to make reservations a month in advance. Definitely looking forward to going back!

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Loved the cozy intimate atmosphere, getting to interact with the chefs as they prepared and served each dish. It was wonderful to see the preparation that went into each course. Cannot recommend enough!!!

A birthday celebration was the excuse to spend $125/person on the 6 course (with extras) tasting menu. The first dish was the most unique and the standout: daybout scallops with corn ice cream, cornbread crumbles, and ancho chili, a sweet and savory combination hors d’oeuvre bookending with dessert. But after the wonderfully creative beginning, the subsequent dishes got less exciting. The swordfish confit with puttanesca relish and crispy panisse was decent; the scallion pancake was ho-hum; the cheder apple galette was good; the chocolate cremeux was standard. The greatest disappointment, if not offense, was what should have been the pièce de résistance: Where the menu had a kuro blue wagyu, a couple people in my party had requested a meatless option which the restaurant assured me was possible when I made the reservation. But instead they swapped out the expensive, premium, special cut of meat with a piece of uninspired broccoli. The contrast was so stark it felt almost disdainful. And the sentiment was reinforced when I directly asked the chef where the substitute was for the wagyu, to which he curtly said “there” pointing to the pathetic piece of broccoli on my plate. But this is not a comparable alternative in any capacity. One is a protein, the other a vegetable. One is an exotic cut of meat, the other is a commonplace grocery item prepared without any culinary distinction. This amounted to little more than merely removing the meat from the meat dish as their way of accommodating the request. But this is more of a cold snub than the warm hospitality they advertise online as being “happy to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability with proper notification.” If that’s the best of their ability then it’s a lame effort.
