– Clean Eatz Burger (Bison) – $10+3: The bison version is $3 extra. The quarter pound burger patty was lean and a little drier (hey, it’s healthy, what do you expect?), but still very delicious. The toppings were fresh and well balanced, but the lettuce kept falling out. The American Cheese was good. The turkey bacon was actually scrumptious. I couldn’t tell much of a difference (and I am not usually a fan of turkey bacon). The potato bun was my favorite part. It was soft, dense, flavorful, and baked just right Overall, for a healthy burger, it was very good and didn’t compromise more than necessary and even complimented a bit above the average healthy burger.
– Sweet Potato Waffle Fries (comes with the burger): You get a side with the burger and I chose the fries. I’ve had a few sweet potato fries and these were about average (which for healthy is actually saying something good).
– Bowl: The pictured bowl is what my friend had. It had chicken, potatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, onions (?), and Thai Peanut sauce (?). He did enjoy it.
– Water (free): I don’t normally make a big deal of water, but this time, it is warranted. First, the machine was very odd. It has a sensor and it takes getting used to. You hold your cup up to it and it pours the ice or water until you move away which almost always causes a spill. I didn’t know this and pushed the sensor as if it was a paddle and it didn’t stop and I overfilled my ice (a blessing in disguise). HOWEVER, the ice is that soft crushed kind which is my favorite way of getting ice! I love to chew on ice and this is the best way. While I complain about the ice machine, I certainly loved the ice. (Sorry for the detour.)
They have interesting regular meals as well that you can subscribe (?) to. They also have pre-made take-and-bake pizzas, empanadas, and more.
– Service: Kind and efficient. You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. Everything was made right.
– Atmosphere: Clean and organized dining area. Mostly tables, and chairs, but there is a long wooden bench with several tables. They had highchairs. They have sriracha sauces out on the tables. They offer a couple of seasoning by the drink dispensers (I forgot to try the burger one). It was plenty comfortable, though there was no padding on the seating. I liked the metal representation of the Grand Rapids skyline above their fridges.
– Conclusion: If you are looking for healthy (or bison), this is a great place to get a burger. The prices are very reasonable for what you get (health food is usually more expensive than this).
Visited on a Wednesday at 6pm.
They had the meal prepped food in clear freezers, all labeled in sections for chicken, beef, seafood, high protein, low carb etc. All the different meals were labeled and easy to read. They also had their desserts and frozen cauliflower pizzas in the freezers. Off to the side they had their own protein powder that they sell as well as protein coffee powder. I was really surprised at all the little extras that they have for sale. I bought some overnight oats as well to try.
The menu for dining in was easy to understand and very well priced. I ended up getting the Arnold and the sweet potato fries and the carmel macchiato protein coffee. My wife got the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The burrito was sure big enough. If you’re hungry you won’t be after you’re done. The protein coffee was really good and definitely worth getting again. The sweet potato fries were great and I’m bias because they’re waffle fries. Each table had Tabasco brand Sriracha hot sauce which was really nice. Next to the counter they had a selection of energy drinks, juices, and zero sugar drinks which was nice to see. In the corner they also had their own seasoning you could bring to your table and use which was very nice. After we were done the manager was kind enough to come and ask us how our meal was.
While I was waiting for my food I asked about how the meal prep process goes and how pickup works. The girl explained how to use the QR code at pickup, when to put my orders in, and all the details which was great. She also gave me a coupon for the meal order and was nice enough to print off my receipts afterwards so I could collect my rewards. She explained how all the meals usually take about 2-3 minutes in the microwave and I bought some to try myself. The menu changes weekly and there are some limited time items so you won’t get bored. They come in really nice containers so if you wanted to reuse them you definitely can. All the menu items and the premade meals have the calories and macros posted, so if you are tracking for your diet they make it incredibly easy.
Overall great experience with the people and the food and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good lunch, especially if you’re trying to stay on track with your fitness goals and stay in a budget. If you are busy at work or don’t have much time to prep your lunch the premade meals are perfect for you. Between the food and the people it’s obvious they believe in what they are offering and put in the effort to show it.
Great atmosphere, always clean and service is very fast! Meals are fresh if you order off the menu and the meal plan meals are also fresh and frozen for later enjoyment! I usually stop in once a week or every two weeks and pick up a few frozen meals for the busy days during the week.
The meal plan menu is also really good. Doesn’t tasty salty like other meal plans out there. I do wish there was less high fat meals and more high protein meals to choose from! I know this is more of a Clean Eatz Corporation decision rather than a local owner decision.
If you are looking for meals for the week and/or a quick healthy lunch that is made fresh and tastes WAY better than fast food then stop in and check it out!!!!
