I would like to start by saying the customer service for this business is terrible. They provide a “phone number” but it’s just a generic message that repeats 3 times and hangs up. Next, they depend on UPS for delivery. Do not be fooled about their website saying they don’t have holidays. They will not gray out dates, never post delays on the website, close their shop, and won’t warn you about a late delivery till the day before! Plus the message they send is automated when they’re closed!
They say their food comes with ice packs or dry ice. That’s false! They FREEZE your food (ruining the quality entirely) and put it in an insulated box. Cutting costs much? They do not care about your food quality at all. They list on your website that YOU can freeze it but they do not inform the customer directly that their food is frozen.
Now let’s talk about the food. It’s incredibly mid. Do not buy the pasta. The Alfredo and Rasta pasta was gross. The pasta itself was soggy because they froze it. The quesadillas were ok in flavor, but a soggy mess unless you air fry it (not in their reheating instructions). The beef lo mein? It was the saltiest, most over seasoned food I have ever tried. I refuse to believe their food is healthy after that. If you have high blood pressure (thank god I don’t) do not order!!! I couldn’t stomach to finish the Rasta pasta or the lo mein. I ate the chicken from the Rasta pasta, and gave up on finishing any part of the lo mein. I didn’t order the alfredo so I can’t speak to that entirely. Based on what my partner said the pasta was soggy like my Rasta pasta. The only thing decent was the Birria taco bowl. I give it a 6.5/10. So far we tried about half the items we ordered. I would never recommend this to anyone.
Also they shrink wrap their food and occasionally the plastic taste seeps into the meal.

From reading the other reviews I was so excited for these meals to get delivered. Unfortunately mine came frozen solid and I had to thaw it out on the counter. This resulted in soggy food that was really unappetizing. The website is a little misleading since it advertises as fresh. I totally understand it has to ship in a cold container but from prior reviews it seems they have changed their packaging which overall may have changed the quality of the food? Once something is frozen it never really tastes the same in my opinion. The food is shrink wrapped instead of the meal containers (like in the review photos) and put in dry ice while being shipped. I really wanted to like it because they have such great food choices but so far food is not great. Just putting this out there to warn anyone with similar expectations as me to keep that in mind.

Let me start off by saying we love how organized everything is from the ordering to the delivery. They’re very consistent. We used another meal prep service right before them and actually left because of regular disorganization, so in that department I give 5 stars.
The food is good taste wise, but I certainly wouldn’t say it’s great or amazing, however, it gets the job done.
As for the nutrition facts, I have to say the sodium amount per serving is very alarming, and their food doesn’t come off as salty. But 4080 mg of sodium in a blackened chick Caesar salad? That’s bewildering. If this information is correct, which I pray it’s not, that’s nearly 47% higher than the 2100-2300 we’re supposed to consume DAILY.
Between my husband and myself, we collectively have over 15 years in the health industry and we are painfully aware that this is less than ideal!
Definitely interested in the HOW and WHY of this…

This is my first time ordering from a meal prep service, and i absolutely loved the process. It was so easy to pick my meals, my meals came first thing Sunday morning. I put 5 in the fridge and 5 in the freezer. And the quality of the food and portions for the price is the best part. I tried all different meals, but my ultimate favorite was the Beef Lo Mein. This company will be my new monthly meal prep.

I used to order Clean Eats years ago when they were 1st starting out. I am interested in ordering from a meal prep service again so decided I’ll check out the reviews here to see if Clean Eats has improved and I would give them another try. The reason I stopped ordering was because all of a sudden, after about a year of ordering, my meals were starting to come frozen. By the reviews, it looks like this is still going on. After seeing their BS reply of the dry ice freezing the meals, I felt I needed to comment on this because mine were coming directly from their facility, which was about 15 minutes away, not delivered via UPS. I loved everything about my meals until they started arriving frozen, soggy and didn’t smell right. Their salmon and broccoli meals, which once tasted so good, now tasted horrible. I did call to complain and they were rude and it resulted in them taking away the discount they gave to my workplace, where a majority of us ordered a large amount of meals weekly. I read the owner’s replies to the bad reviews and it shows you exactly what people are saying about their attitude. I guess I’ll order from one of the many other places that provide the same service because their responses show very little accountability or openness to any feedback

I’ve been ordering weekly for 4 months now. I can’t explain what a game changer it is to have healthy options ready to go in my fridge. They’re delicious. They’re so flexible…you can order right up until like Sunday for Tuesday delivery which is extremely rare in this space. Most meal delivery is a couple weeks out which isn’t always practical. Very happy with Clean Eats!
