Anthony McLean first opened Classic Jamaican Jerk Stop in 2013. Mr. McLean saw an opportunity to share his culture and bring a little more diversity to Martin County through Jamaican cuisine. The restaurant is now owned and managed by his son Kevin. His daughters Donnette and Lisa are also key members of the establishment. Today, the mission of Classic Jamaican Jerk Stop continues; share the culture of Jamaica and bring people together through delicious food in a friendly and welcoming environment.

I have been supporting this business for over 5 years , especially for my business events since we do a lot of marketing event. Recently I encountered a situation that I believed is worthy bringing to the light of the public. I Recently went t to this Restaurant and asked the owner to sponsor an event we are having for our church over the holidays. The owner told me she is having a problem with doing the order because she is Jehovahs witness, I then asked her to explain because at this point I was dumbfounded. I then went on to ask her how is it that she never asked me my relegion when I made all those purchases from her in the past and why is she is still in business if she is having issues with other people believes or practices. She then took my number and said she would talk to her husband and get back to me. She never did. What bothers me is how people use relegion and try to use God to justify their hate, bypasses and selfishness. I walk into this business for years and nothing about their business practice or behavior depicts that they have a relationship with God or they are his representative. The music they play the way they adorn themselves and speak is just ungodly. So to discriminate again me in your business because I I am trying to do business with you at a particular ttime of the year is unethical and bad business practice. Funny, you have done many paid catering during christmas and other festive times for us in the past and it was never a problem but the moment I asked.you to sponsor an event your Relegion became the focus .SMH It’s wrong what you did, especially to a customer who have supported for all these years. !!

I live in Port St. Lucie and the Caribbean/Jamaican places don’t really bring what I’m looking for seeing as how I grew up down in Broward County. I always make an effort to stop here once a week after class in Stuart for lunch specials because although the portions could be a little bit bigger for 10 bucks the flavor kicks and when you walk in and sit down, you really feel like you’re a part of the family. They’re very friendly and it just reminds me of the places I’m used to down south.

Small but mighty food is flavor packed and excellent prices are great dishes are full. I highly recommend the jerk pork WOW! And the BBQ Fry Chicken was delicious. Grab yourself an imported stout as well you won’t be disappointed here. Staff is very friendly, and can’t wait to go again to try more.

This place has been amazing for the last few years. Don’t know if owners changed or something but everything has been excellent- curry goat slaps, jerk pork is seasoned and cooked perfectly, they have spiced bun, raising bread, sour sop, stewed chicken, rice and beans are always cooked well. Best in the area by far.

I live in Palm Beach County however, anytime I am passing through this part of town it is a mandatory stop! I can’t give you my honest testimony on anything else on the menu besides the “OXTAIL”. Those OXTAILS are so good that they will make you kiss your dog!
I’m back eight months later and the customer service, the quality of the food and the all of the above five star qualities of this restaurant remains in tack! Heading that way now for day #2(03-09-22).

The food here is everything!!! So delicious! I’ve been in St. Lucie County for almost 2 years and I have been searching for some authentic Jamaican food like what you find in Broward or Dade. Every place I tried was a huge disappointment but this place, this place is the real deal! The portions are huge and the food is just incredibly good. I drove 20 minutes to try them and I will be doing it again and again as I am now a loyal customer! Can’t wait to go back. Oh and, I can’t forget to mention how polite they were and how clean the restaurant is. You guys please do your selves a favor and try this place.
