Reviews
The complementary chips and dip were excellent – a great salsa, beans with chorizo chunks, and some sort of creme fresh. Altogether, it is a great way to get your appetite started. The tableside guacamole service is fun to watch and really rounds out the appetizer.
The margaritas are quite large. On a whim, I tried the huckleberry one and it was just a taste of tart with sweet. Superb! The pineapple jalapeño margarita was also excellent.
Finally, we both ordered chimichangas… I guess it was a chiminight for us. Both of these were hot and good sized portions. Overall, I have to put this on my Mexican restaurant rotation and I’m sure it has something for everyone to enjoy. Again, the service is amazing.
The menu has many options, food & drink. We ordered the table side guacamole = delicious!
I preferred the steak fajita’s = 5 my friend ordered chicken chimichangas.
As far as our drinks, I ordered a cosmo one of the reasons not a 5 star review.
Overall, great experience. I recommend.
Overall, I’d rate CC as a 3.5; however, that is not an option above. It’s not a 3, but not quite 4 stars based on our visit.
Drinks: we ordered the popular Margarita Flight to start, and while the 4 options were diverse, every single Margarita tasted a bit watered down. They didn’t offer the fruity flavor the pictures promised. Following that, we tried the House Marg with the Coronita. I will say, the House packed much better flavor and I would recommend it to anyone looking to satisfy a craving. I was slightly disappointed the menu didn’t directly offer a top-shelf or “cadillac” marg, but they may if you ask.
Food: we tackled a few dishes, starting with the table side guacamole. It’s fresh, tangy and perfectly fine. The salsa and white dip (I am unsure the name) were also munchie-crushers. For mains, we tried the mahi-mahi tacos and the sky surf and turf. Both were good, but not over the top great, but the portions were on point, and will leave you very full. I again was disappointed they did not offer options in tortillas and both dishes were served with flour. I am sure we could have inquired, and will do so if we visit again.
Atmosphere/Service: The restaurant is clean, chic, and well designed. I appreciate the simplistic approach. We did wait over 10 minutes for a server at 4:30 pm which is a bit abnormal. Not the end of the world, but we were ready to jump into those drinks.
Overall, it was an ok visit. For me, the prices did not meet the level of food and drink quality, and while a decent place to go to satisfy a craving, I will likely not go out of my way to stop again.
Yesterday my husband and I tried Clase Código for the first time, and WOW… what an experience. From the moment we walked in, everyone greeted us with big smiles. The host seated us immediately, and not even a minute later the guacamole cart arrived at our table.
They make the guacamole fresh right in front of you with a molcajete — you choose what you want added (tomato, cilantro, onion, everything). It was delicious and such a fun touch. Right after that, they brought out complimentary chips with three salsas.
Our waiter was amazing too (Pedro) — very friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. He brought our waters right away, explained the menu, and recommended margaritas and dishes without being pushy.
For food, we ordered the surf & turf for two and the pastor tacos. Everything came out hot, fast, and packed with flavor. The service was quick but still felt warm and genuine.
The atmosphere was vibrant, with Latin music playing the whole time. The quality, flavors, and service are on another level. We left really impressed and definitely planning to come back.
Highly recommend! ✨
Their menu mentions they have a chef creating all the dishes, and you can totally tell. Everything tasted way better than your average Mexican spot, where most of the food kind of tastes the same. This was on a whole different level.
What’s wild is they’ve only been open a week and they already have everything running smooth. Service was great, everyone was friendly, and we really hope they take off because we definitely want to come back. Highly recommend!
