Our food was delicious. The bartender (where we sat) was wonderful. I had checked their website and it didn’t mention taking reservations, so we ended up having to sit at the bar when we wanted a table. I think it’d be helpful to add that to their website for out-of-towners like us who didn’t know we’d need one. The line for the bathroom was also very long because it’s a single bathroom.

Lively bar. Gets crowed, I would recommend reservations on the weekend and definitely for large parties all the time. Been here twice. Had the salmon and the ribs both are pretty tasty. Entrees come with a salad which I like. I did find the menu a bit limited. No chicken entree dishes which I found a bit odd. The pulled pork nachos are tasty, not the best I’ve ever had but pretty good. Service has been good both times and staff is friendly.

What a lunch. We wanted an alternative to fast food. 5 minutes off 81 but worth it. Had amazing Pulled Pork Beef sandwich. GO GET A BULLHOG. Great fries and awesome sauces BBQ. They had a selection on menu great. Chipotle BBQ is super delicious. I know from outside don’t look like much but food was incredible. I hope many find this hidden gem in Shippensburg. We might be back 🙂 we live in New Jersey 3 hours away great job!! Waitress friendly and perfect.

This restaurant is more on the pricey side, however, the food we had was with it. Included on the menu are several “original” salads, dressings, and platters; including several offered from the restraunt’s smoke house. Though the selection from the smoker is not huge it does include filet mignon, ribeye, and sirloin, as well as prime rib on Friday and Saturdays. Our waitress was attentive and kind, though she had the entire dining room by herself, she managed it well. What brought this review to a lot number for me was the constant flow of black flies swarming around our heads and more disgustingly, our food, as we tried to eat. It was non-stop. Not pleasant when your trying to enjoy a meal.

Kim was our bartender/waitress and she is wonderful! My guy started off with a side salad and for his entree the seafood fra diavolo and I had the southwestern salad with chicken. Everything was delicious! Great choices on the menu but a bit pricey

The best restaurant in Shippensburg. My favorites: brisket, filet, ribs, Cameron burger, and bullhog sandwich. The weekly specials are always great as well. Shippensburg is lucky to have a place like this. It is the best.

This place is AMAZING! For starters, everything on the menu is delicious! You can tell the chef cares…like the Caesar Salad being placed on the grill, just it give it that smoke flavor in it. The freaking crab cakes has NO FILLER! The Blacken Chicken & Shrimp alfredo was probably some of the Best I had.
It was 9 of us (our son’s 21st birthday)…so we were all tasting from each other’s plate. The BOOM BOOM SHIRMP …. just amazing! The Buffalo Chicken Dip…is to die for…seriously, Get the Boom Boom Shrimp & that Dip… & you might fall out your seat.
They have a great beer menu, my Guinness was done right. Then if you get a chance… get the smoke prime rib! REALLY! Just see the pictures…asparagus were amazing…the mash potatoes were whipped to perfection! I wish I took more… but we will definitely be back. Please keep it up…this was the best bar/grill we’ve been too.

No matter the ages or dining needs of people in your party CJ’s are MASTERS of the casual dining experience: I went there for a family dinner to celebrate a child’s birthday. I was nervous about whether a “Pub” would be an appropriate place to go. The “Pub” portion of the restaurant looked very cozy with a lot of wood decor and table booths lining the wall. Under different circumstances, the Pub looked like a great place to dine for adults. However, since a member of our party has mobility issues and we had a child in our party, I was concerned because the booths are elevated 6-12″ above the restaurant floor. While this makes viewing the TVs across the room much better, some may find the booths a bit difficult to get in and out of. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that our hostess took us to a different room which was perfectly set up for family dining. We were given a booth (not elevated ) and everyone fit comfortably. During our dinner, we dined on burgers, chicken fingers, fries, salads, and desserts. Everything we were served was outstanding. The quality of the food and care in preparation is evident. I was also highly impressed with our waitress. She did an EXCELLENT job of anticipating our needs. For example, when we told her that someone in the party had a fish allergy, not only did she think to ensure that meal was cooked separately, she also informed us that the fries were cooked in a separate fryer to ensure there was no accidental exposure via the cooking oils. I have never seen a waitress (or restaurant for that matter) handle a food allergy request so kindly and thoroughly. It truly made the night of that individual to be treated with such dignity. We all had a wonderful time at CJ’s!

The food and service were both amazing! The smoked brisket was so tender and flavorful. The Key Lime Parfait was a light and tasty finish to the meal. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her tortellini primavera. We will choose CJ’s again.

Lovely meal with a great recommendation from the server for steak tacos with lime crema and pico de Gallo. They were amazing as was the Mac and cheese that I got as a side! I’ll be back soon!
