We went for lunch this weekend (2/7/26) around 2pm. We normally enjoy the crawfish & Brie queso, except on several occasions the pork rinds served along with the dip have been hard as a rock, this time was a little better, but still not fresh. Elsie’s Plate and Pie serve theirs fresh, so fresh they are still popping when they bring it to the table, and it is delicious and tender. I don’t see why this restaurant couldn’t do the same. I split the city club with the other person in our party and we upgraded from chips to French fries and added a side of macaroni and cheese. The fries were limp and greasy, like what you get from a fast food restaurant late at night, and the macaroni was served cold. I didn’t send any of it back, but I did let the server know when she asked how everything was. She didn’t seem to care and my concerns were not addressed by her or management. The server was too busy watching videos on her phone to care about anything anyway. As for the atmosphere, there were finger smudges all over the windows near our table. I understand kids will be kids, but I would hope that management would be on top of that after that party left. If they don’t care what the dining room looks like, can you imagine how the kitchen looks? Gross. I had to hunt down the server to get our bill, she was MIA for about 30 minutes, and when I did see her to hand her my card, she didn’t even stop the video on her phone to run my payment. City Group really needs to look into the management of this location, it is not run very well. I wouldn’t be surprised if it closed down soon. They won’t be getting any more business from me.

This is one of Baton Rouge’s best restaurants. Love this location and atmosphere. The service is great. Even the sandwiches here are worth the trip. Their brisket nachos are next level. Delicious.

Really amazing place for breakfast/brunch. Food is absolutely delicious. Service is perfect. Prices are reasonable. There are good choices for all preferences. Apparently they only recently started serving breakfast. They are open quite early which is really a plus for us earlybirds.

I recently dined at City Pork for brunch and it was a great experience mid-day! I started with the pork nachos, which were perfectly layered with tender, flavorful pork, fresh toppings, and a deliciously creamy cheese sauce. The cubano sandwich was a standout, with juicy pork, tangy pickles, and melty cheese all pressed to perfection. To top it off, the Bloody Mary was expertly crafted, with just the right balance of spice and flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend for any meat lover!

Always an excellent experience. From the cocktails to the entrees, they do not disappoint. The ribs and peaches were a truly unique experience that delights the palate! The go to standard is the brisket burger.

Unfortunately they were again out of pastrami, so we were unable to get a rueben – it’s always good too.

Tremendous flavor & options! Great buildout – really nice place. Good atmosphere – spread out place with a big bar area and spacious main seating area as well – a nice patio under the live oak out front. Server was top notch and knew the menu inside and out. We had the Pork Debris rolls & the Wild Boar Flautas – both were amazing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrees – the ribs were described as “the best I’ve ever tasted.” As much as I wanted to try the beef or pork options I opted for the Seafood Goddess salad and was not disapointed – very filling – shrimp were meaty and cooked perfectly. Venue was clean and service was quick. Would definitely recommend and will come back. Reuben is awesome! Thank you!

We went on a not so busy night the receptionist sat us directly next to another couple when there were multiple other 4 tops available. The kicker was I ordered a Hendricks martini on the rocks and they charged me $ 16 for the Hendricks and $4 more for the martini =$20.. Complained to no avail.

So the bar at city pork is called the wild boar. I came here with friends to watch the Saints game and enjoy some good food with drinks. The bar area was not overcrowded, and we were able to have a conversation without yelling at each other. The food here is always good.

I just tried the City Pork Highland and Perkins Road location and was not disappointed. I had dinner with some friends and was more than pleasantly surprised. I used to frequent City Pork Deli years ago and was pleased to see some of the items from the restaurant on the menu. The servers were great, especially for a brand new restaurant. I had the Salmon Saltine and a Philly Tri-tip Sandwich, and both were excellent. I ate in The Wild Boar bar, and our food and drinks came out fast and were delicious. I can’t wait to try more of the menu and maybe have brunch soon.

I really do not know where to start. Oh yes, I do. When my dad and I walked in the vibe and atmosphere was stale. Hosts sitting on the benches staring at us and waiting on us to greet them seemingly. We got someone to go behind the host stand and get us menus and seat us.
Our Server was friendly, polite and helpful we enjoyed her commentary.
My dad order the shrimp and grits. It was visibly full of liquid. It tasted like jello that started to lose its shape with no flavor. It was so whipped it should NOT have been called grits. The shrimp, were shrimp (shrugs). They replaced the shrimp and grits with another order of his choice. He picked Mac and cheese. It tasted like just a bowl of boiled noodles. Disappointed to say the least. I ordered the brisket nachos and the brisket had zero flavor; ZERO.
We paid and left.
We have scratch it off the list for any future dining experiences.
