You can smell the BBQ from half a mile away. Everybody was super friendly and nice! Visiting from Detroit, they welcomed us with delicious chocolate cake and very tender brisket. Their St Louis Ribs were also delicious. A 3 meat 2 side plate was a good eating for 2 during lunch. We will definitely be back soon.

I really appreciated the meal from City Barbeque! The food was tasty, hearty, and the portions were generous. I’ve had barbecue from Kansas City to Texas, so I’ve experienced a wide range of flavors and styles. City Barbeque delivered a solid meal — the brisket and pork were flavorful, though I personally prefer a little more seasoning to make the meats stand out even more.
The cornbread was excellent — moist, sweet, and the perfect complement to the plate. The sides rounded everything out nicely.
Overall, this was a satisfying and enjoyable experience, and I’ll definitely go back. City Barbeque serves up comforting, true-to-form barbecue that hits the spot. With just a touch more seasoning, it could compete with some of the best I’ve had on my travels.

Everything was great from the customer service to the food. The cashier that took our order was a very nice showman, very mannerable and respectful and very patient and helps us out along the way. Sometimes you can get to a restaurant. You’re confused or send me items so many choices but he made the order really easy for us so thank you so much and everyone in the store was absolutely delightful. We even rang the bell twice before leaving out and the children get a free meal on Halloween. So thank you guys! City barbecue awesome!

I visited today and came through the drive through and the associate by the name of MIA took my order who provided amazing customer service, was patient, and explained the menu to us as this was our first time. Most staff working drive throughs nowadays are not kind. Very good service!!!

Ribs were very hard to eat. Like bricks. Ordered cornbread didn’t get it. This is the second time I am missing items and couldn’t eat the ribs. Ribs taste like leftover from 2 days ago. Very sad used to be good. I will take a hard pass on this place.

First time buying some peach cobbler. This is the worst cobbler I have ever had. It only have 3 peaches in it and the rest is crust. It looks and taste like bread pudding.

Full disclosure, I’m a Texan so I’m a bit of a BBQ snob by nature. Their Pork BBQ sandwich was good–tender, served in a good portion, etc.;however, the essence of great BBQ is the flavor of the .eat without any “fixens”. Their pork has no taste without their sauce–add the sauce, you’ve got a winner. Their sauce (original) is thick, bourbon/brown sugar style with just a hint of vinegar. Their sweet sauce is much more “bourbony”. They charge a $3 up charge for brisket so i didn’t try it–who upcharges for the staple food they advertisefor sale?!? (Sorry…BBQ snob, remember?) Their Mac & cheese, corn bread, corn pudding, and beans looked good, but i did not try them b/c I was eating light. They did have a nice smokey smell in the air so it smelled like a good BBQ joint! Generally, a place worth trying if you are “jonesing” for BBQ and can’t get to Texas.
