Was really excited to try this restaurant after hearing great things but I didn’t have the best experience. The cashier was very nice but all the other staff seemed to just chilling talking to each other, on their phones, and eating. The food itself was okay. They were out of ribs hours before close and I ended getting raw chicken on my sandwich. Thankfully, I ate in my car and could go back in and get a quick refund. As for the desserts they are very tasty but since that’s not what they specialize in I have to give them a low overall rating.

They never miss to mess up my order. This is the forth time they forgets to give me part of my order on driver thru. And today I’m missing all of my topping for my sandwich. Last time they forgot my side. Time before that they forget 2 sandwich and 1 fires.

It’s been a very long time since I’ve had City barbq, I’m glad I stopped in for lunch!!! The ribs were tender and the flavor was so good, I didn’t have to use any sauce! I also loved the cornbread, potato salad, and the best peach cobbler ever!!!! I’ll definitely be back soon.

Food was good but portions are small. Got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich…it was basically a solo chicken finger on a bun. Kinda lame. The picture actually makes it look bigger than it was.

We hit the drive thru as we are staying at a hotel across the street. The food was great in our opinion. I had the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and my wife had the leg and thigh. Only thing I wish was that the Nashville chicken were spicier. We each had corn pudding as a side and it was really good. She also had green beans and liked them, I had the hush puppies and collard greens also. Now I fancy myself as a connoisseur of collards, and these were the second best collards I’ve ever had.

We have tried several BBQ places in area the last few years. None top City BBQ. Be sure and try the Brisket, Pulled Pork and Ribs. Amounts are bigger than expected. I do the choose 2 and get Ribs and Brisket. The Hushpuppies are the best we have tried anywhere. Excellent side choices as well, baked beans, green beans, cold slaw just to name a few. Really nice location on Dixie Hwy in Fairfield. The woman who takes care of dining area is a hard worker and checks on everyone. Polite staff all the way around. Give this place a try. You will love it.
