BAM- hands down best BBQ around, hickory wood smoked, the pulled pork is my fav, hubby loved the lean brisket, Bubba liked the chicken tenders.
Tried all the sauces normally we steer clear of sauces first go round to get a feel of taste, just couldn’t help ourselves super delish.
South My Mouth all day with everything.
My 4th trip and finally got the gals name Krista and Riley helped me out at the counter kudos to them.
I will say picking up to go at 4pm and hush puppies were kinda sitting there stale that would be my only complaint, make these fresh please.
So hubby comes here often for lunch he loves it!!
When getting Take Away reheat slightly on warm in oven make a tinfoil tent or leave in brown wrapper for meat, this will help not to dry it out. I also bake a potato and place meat and cheese on top with ranch.
Hubby loves the queso.
The customer service was good, but that’s about as a good as it got.
For a placed called City Barbeque, the food was atrocious.
$3 up charge for brisket is absurd considering the portion size given to you. Plus the food was not fresh as most of it was cold.
The chicken was in this “bama” sauce which tasted horrible. The sausage is mediocre (and uncut is insane).
The only good things were the fries and mac and cheese which isn’t a good to be known for your sides only.
Overpriced, portions sizes for the price is not good. Some of the worst BBQ i’ve had in TN.
With other BBQ spots in town, definitely will not be back.
Brisket was fatty and tough. Ribs lacked any real meat and were not falling off the bone like I would expect good ribs too. Pulled pork was doused in pepper for some reason. Cole slaw was bland.
Hush puppies were good and so were the baked beans. They do offer a variety of sauces. Original sauce was so-so. The swine wine was probably the best but it is spicy so I didn’t use a lot of it, but it had a good vinegar taste.
Overall, it was very underwhelming. Definitely would not put it on a list to revisit.
We ordered the City Sampler with potato salad, Mac and cheese, and fried okra and a banana pudding on a Saturday at 12:30PM. That included brisket, smoked turkey, smoked sausage, and pulled pork.
The food looked and tasted as if it had been sitting out for a few hours. The brisket and pulled pork were dry but had good bark with a pink smoke ring. The sausage was good. The turkey was good but served a little colder than expected. The Mac and cheese was very good with strings of cheese coming out of it. The potato salad was bland. The fried okra was good with good crunch. The banana pudding was different but very good. It had some sort of sauce drizzled on it, but the bananas were not too soft and it had good crunch.
The service was great. The food was ready very quickly and they came to check on us multiple times.
The available sauces represented a variety, but I did not taste much difference between original and sweet sauces.
I will visit once more to see how it tastes a second time. But I was disappointed for this trip.
Original Sauce and City sauce is delicious.
The food was very good. 2 meats and 2 sides. I had the pulled pork and the 18 hour brisket!!! Very good.
Mary was helpful and made the visit super.
She took great care of us.
