I didn’t expect a chain bbq restaurant to be this good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product here. Good atmosphere and phenomenal service by the crew. If you are in the area and looking for some solid bbq, stop by City BBQ and you will enjoy it.

I’ve always heard amazing things about City BBQ, and this was my first time finally getting to try it, and wow, it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Rochelle, who was so kind, friendly, and attentive. She answered all of our questions with a smile and made the experience even better. Truly wonderful service! She has an amazing attitude!!! Now, onto the food… the cheesy bacon fries were the star of the show, WOW! absolutely incredible! The smoked sausage paired perfectly with the Texas toast, and the coleslaw was fresh and flavorful. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was nothing short of divine. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and I couldn’t resist trying the banana pudding, the caramel twist made it unique and unbelievably good! To top it all off, their sweet tea is dangerously delicious lol. The perfect pair to your meal! Truly exceeded my expectations. Between the outstanding food and the warm, welcoming service, they’ve definitely earned every bit of this 5-star review. I’ll absolutely be back!

Love the drive-through option at this location. It makes me feel like the food will come out fast and it did. Customer Service is nice and the building is pristine as I expected for the Woodstock area. I’ve eaten at City BBQ chain several times in Sandy Springs. It’s funny that most locations have the same rating (4.3 or 4.4). I believe it’s because this place is incredibly consistent. You know when you come here that you can find something good to eat. Not everything is on the wow level, but it’s good and that’s a good thing.
Not many meal deals and the menu isn’t very elaborate but some variety. The ribs and everything fried is pretty good. Prices are fair in “today’s market pricing” although at mom and pop shops you may get a bit more quantity, but maybe not as much consistency and speed.
The little brisket platter at $11.49 looks small but it was enough for me. When you add two sides & a drink + a tip if you’d like, you’re $20-$25 for a lunch barbecue brisket meal. You could get the sandwich with a side for less if you want the breading and less meat. It had a little smoked taste, which I liked, I prefer long cuts on the brisket instead of these squares, some cut thick and some cut thin. Looked dry-was a bit dry on first bite but easy to chew, when I dipped it in the barbecue sauce, it was fine. I was looking for that pink smoke rim on the meat.
I am particular about mac & cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, so to save my stomach any issues I typically pick the safer options which are green beans, baked beans, fried okra, hush puppies, french fries, onion rings. The green beans were delicious with a good amount of meat inside. Not sure if it was turkey or pork. The okra taste was delicious but because of the oil, I definitely needed that soda to wash it down. I was quite sleepy after this meal.
Overall, because of the consistency and cleanliness, I’d recommend and come back here. I could order the ribs and brisket again, wish they had more sides like collard greens, baked potato, steamed okra, peas, southern style potato salad, corn on the cobb or kernels, corn bread. It does say city BBQ, not country BBQ, lol.

My first experience with this restaurant was about a year ago when I stumbled upon it by accident. The young man who took my order was very pleasant , accomodating, and ensured that my to go order was hot, tasty, and portions were appropriate. So, I returned about a month later with the same expectation. The staff on duty was different but I didn’t think that would matter. But, it did. This to go order was not hot, the ribs were burnt, and the portion size was smaller. Nevertheless, because of my Ist experience I returned again with the expectation that each new experience would be like the first. It was not and again the staff on duty was different. Today, Monday March 2, 2026, I returned ever hopeful that I would get the same meal I received the first time. I did not and I will not return again. The ribs were meaty, but cold and tasteless. The brisket was also cold, dry, and tasteless and definitely not what I expected for a $3.00 upcharge. Only portion of the meal that was worth anything was the potatoe salad and coleslaw. I guess you can’t mess up something that is store bought. Oh yeah, this was also a different staff.

First time here; I got the 2 meat sampler…barely got any meat for $16. The pork was overseasoned and all I could taste was salt and pepper. Sides were okay but extremely overpriced for the quantity and quality of food you get.

We seen this place dropping my camper off to get serviced down the road. Love trying new places. Had brisket, Bama chicken, pulled pork, corn pudding, Mac cheese and chili. The hardest think to cook is brisket and it showed. The Bama chicken tasted like mayo only and still dry. Pork loaded in fat made it slimy. Corn not sure whats going on Mac was dry the place was full of smoke kinda hard to eat with all the smoke. My son loved the corn bread.

Went there yesterday with the family for the first time and couldn’t have had a better experience! Steve and the staff were amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic. Everything we tried on the menu was great to include the brisket, pulled pork and the dirty bird. The sides were also great to include the Mac and cheese and potato salad. Lastly the chocolate cake and banana pudding were top notch! Definitely will be coming back anytime we head over to Woodstock!!

First I want to say, we tried this on Veteran’s Day and were so grateful and impressed with their support for Veteran’s. Thank you!
Secondly, our kids do not like BBQ typically, but they loved this place! The meats are smoked/cooked wonderfully, and really require no sauces, which is a plus when you have kids that don’t like things saucy. We tried the chicken, turkey, and the ribs. All were wonderful. The potato salad was spectacular. We also ordered a couple of side salads, and they too were very nice. Spring mix with tomatoes,cucumbers, onions, etc. Much more than we expected.
We will definitely be returning as we want to try many of the other menu items.
Our only complaint would be the size of the dining area. They might benefit from a little bit more seating.
