This place has been around for a long time, and I was happy to see that they still serve food with genuine care. Everything is freshly made right there, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the taste is excellent. Though it’s an old restaurant and might not look fancy, you can tell they put real effort into keeping it clean — it actually feels spotless. I really appreciate how honestly and sincerely they run this place. I was so focused on enjoying the food that I completely forgot to take any photos!

Closest thing to NY/NJ pizza in the DMV. Employees are friendly and welcoming. Menu is expansive and great. For Virginia pizza it’s genuinely like a 9/10. Would recommend the sausage slice, regular cheese, or chicken veggie pizza those are the best. Also you MUST try their garlic knots which are less than $2 and is extremely good if you are a garlic person.

We stopped in for lunch on the day after a snow storm. Many restaurants were closed but not Ciro’s. We walked into a warm, clean establishment and were immediately greeted by a smiling and well prepped staff. The food was delicious. We ordered salads to share and pizza. Our son tried one of the garlic knots. The salads were fresh and well made. The pizza was awesome and served piping hot and the garlic know fresh and warm. I will definitely be back.

Ciro, the owner is Italian and he was extremely hospitable and providing excellent customer service that was above and beyond to my friends and me. Having been to Italy, I had authentic pizza and the food reminded me of the pizza I had in Italy. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning again. I lived in NY and I can say. This is not NY pizza. The ingredients tasted inferior. The sauce tasted like it came from a can. The mushrooms were from a can and the pepperoni had no taste. The crust was tasteless. My pizza tasted like a frozen Digiorno. The wings tasted freezer burnt. I will never return.

We love Ciro’s. This place is like being back in New York. The tomato sauce is excellent, I’d recommend red sauce dishes. I personally like the Eggplant Parm, but you really can’t go wrong here. Best NY style pizza in the area, hands down.

We have been going here for over 20 years, usually get a cheese pizza and a salad. Nothing extra, just regular cheese, it was one of our favorites that is close to home. But the last 2 times we have gotten it there is little to no sauce, just basically cheese on crust, no flavor either. I called after the second time, asked for a manager (not sure if I got one). She checked with the pizza maker, came back and basically said that everything was normal and that’s how they make it, so we need to order extra sauce next time if we want sauce. Maybe it’s just us, but we never had to order that way before, I think we are done with them, very sad.

We visited twice during a 3.5 day visit from Colorado; the pumpkin ravioli and mushroom ravioli specials were absolutely to die for, the eggplant parmesan and baked ziti rivaled most others and the pizza was large, crispy and delicious. Such an amazing selection and a great Italian place to visit time and time again

Very good Pizza. We ordered the NewYork style one and we loved it so much although it’s a bit on the salty side. We tried the Margarita one which we liked too, but I prefer the classic NewYork style one more. Definitely next time I crave Pizza this will be my first choice!
