It was dirty, the food was overpriced, the service was slow, and everything felt sticky.
My husband ordered a large combo plate, but I was already disgusted the moment we walked in, so I stuck to chicken nuggets and fries. You’re forced to order at the counter right at the entrance, almost like a low-end fast-food setup. There’s no chance to sit down, look over the menu, and order comfortably with a server. Instead, you have to stand there reading the board while other people line up behind you, adding pressure to hurry.
The food took an unexpectedly long time, especially considering my nuggets and fries were just half-heartedly tossed onto a metal tray — not even a proper plate. And on top of that, we had to eat with plastic forks. Clearly it’s the easiest setup for the restaurant because they don’t have to wash anything, but the amount of trash it creates seems to be of no concern to them.
The sauce bottles were the worst part: filthy, sticky, and obviously handled by countless people with dirty, greasy fingers. As my photos show, they clearly haven’t been cleaned in ages. It’s genuinely disgusting.

We were driving north and saw this BBQ place. The brisket was excellent. Great flavor, not too much smoke. There are several house made BBQ sauces to choose from, but I favored the house BBQ sauce. Corn bread is sticky, but I like it that way. Very friendly service. The venue area was huge. We will be back!

Stopped by for the first time and had the worst experience. I ordered the chicken and two sides. It came out super quick and soon as I cut the chicken open, blood started gushing out. I returned the tray and told the lady that it was not done, she immediately defended her Cooking and said that it’s smoked chicken so it’s gonna look pink, I told her no ma’am I cut it open and blood came gushing out. She took the tray back and asked me if I had one or something else, but I declined because there was an attitude when grabbing the tray back and telling me that it was supposed to be pink after she realized that it was blood she then agreed with me that it was definitely indeed blood.

My wife and I came in last night to see Borderline, we walked inside to get food and the lobby was PACKED. We placed our order with Taylor and she was an absolute delight! She answered all of our questions and even though the restaurant was packed full of hungry people she made sure we didn’t feel rushed and just all around gave us amazing service. Even with everyone in there getting food everything came out fast, fresh, and tasting outstanding! The outside area had a great atmosphere and plenty of heaters to keep warm. This place truly is a hidden gem, and I strongly recommend this place!

My wife and I love all BBQ but we will go out of our way when it comes to good tender brisket We decided to stop and ordered the brisket and pulled pork combo. The brisket was tough & dry and the pulled pork was ok but it had no flavor. The mac & cheese tasted like it came straight out of a box. The corn bread was so dry and just crumbled in our hands. Very disappointing, specially since there’s a huge sign above the restaurant saying “Best Brisket in Town”. I do not recommend this place.

WHY IS SO HARD TO FIND GOOD QUALITY FOOD IN THIS STATE? I ordered over the phone. She said 19.83$ for pork dinner. Ouch. Im saying to myself, i hope its worth it. One car in the parking lot at 6pm. I walked in to find a sign outside stating daily special 12.99 pork dinner. I go to checkout and told her, i want that deal. She said thats the lunch special. I said no it is the dinner entree. She walked outside to verify then came back in. I paid 13$ then left. Pork was very dry with no sauce on it. Corn bread was sticky and cold. The coleslaw was very bland and dry. The baked beans were awful. Plain and tasteless.

My third time there. Always very good and great customer service. Additionally and having read some of the few negative comments- my wife was from Texas and myself from NC . We’ve had great bbq, ribs, and brisket and while both good – totally different. Circle S is smoked nicely and had enough flavor to please anyone given that I would agree- not all people like theirs a certain way. . Add sauces, spices , or salt and pepper to your liking.
Some customers also argue that where they were from- everything was better and cheaper.
As for prices and portions- everything is expensive these days. I can go to McDonald’s and /or Wendy’s and pay $28 for two combos. Covid made everything jump prob 30 to 40 percent easily too.
The meat portions are generous at Cirkle S and they do use smaller side item cups but plenty for one person on a platter. Along with prices- I have run businesses and received great and a few not so good reviews on occasion. In my experience – a lot of folks complain and have never ran a business or have a clue as to what just occupancy costs can be alone- then add food, labor, and supply costs- and one can see you can’t just give things away or lose money on some complainers who want something free or heavily discounted.
Some of these same complainers do so from business to business in attempts to get things discounted, free, or just to be a know it all or bully behind a screen.
Anyhow-circle S- it’s a great food option for us pretty close to our house.

I do a lot of pulled pork and have high standards. Well this place did not disappoint. The meat was tender and moist , not dry . Smoke taste was not over powering the meat. Let’s talk okra . Wow . Wow. Wow . So crispy , and flavorful. Will be back sooner than later . My newest BBQ place .
