The Brisket Tacos were to die for and the hamburger excellent. We also ordered the portobello mushrooms & the dipping sauce was great. After our meal, be picked up some pork and waygu beef from the gift store to bring back home with us. The owner is very sweet and friendly! 5 stars, will be back. Was absolutely worth the 2 hour drive.
Brisket tacos were great. 2 tacos stuffed with flavorful meat with sauce and cheese on top. Would get again.
Burger was good, not great. Bun was a run of the mill store bun. Fries were ok, they weren’t hot, think they would have been perfect if they had been.
YOU MUST TRY THE BRISKET TACOS THE ARE AMAZING AND THE FRIED MAC&cheese bites
And next door to the bar there’s an amazing general store with all local products that are not only amazing quality but extremely affordable
The atmosphere is nice. The service and the food was not. First, I sat quietly and patiently waiting at the bar to get a drink, and despite being told I would receive service soon (they were busy) after waiting 5-10 minutes very patiently, I watched people who just walked up to the bar get served in under 30 seconds, who arrived 5-10 minutes AFTER me. I was sitting at the bar with my card in my hand, very visible. After seeing two people who just walked up get served after I had already been waiting awhile, I just walked away.
Secondly, after paying $8.99 for fries, when my order was ready I picked it up only to see that the portion I bought was less than a small order of fries at McDonald’s. It looked as if someone pinched out of some fries and dropped that tiny portion onto my plate. That’s what 9 bucks bought me.
Those two things were enough for me to decide never to come back. Despite the potential and the nice atmosphere, the service and the food was terribly small in proportion, and overpriced.
My experience just a short walk away at Good News Brewery was far better.
