10 STARS!! Delicious, tasty pizza with quality ingredients! You can tell it’s made with love and care. As a sensitive tummy girly, good gluten free pizza is important to me lol and this place delivers! I’m sure their normal crust is delicious as well.

Easily my favorite pizza in town— coming from a girl who usually is a pizza hater!
I found Cipolla Rosa last year at one of the local farmers markets. They were serving up personal sized Neapolitan pizzas and while I’m not usually one to pick pizza out at a market with lots of other food options, so many people were carrying around these pizzas that looked so dang good I had to try it! Well one bite was all I needed to understand the hype and became hooked. The flavor was so killer, it was like I could individually taste every ingredient! After that I looked for these little wood fired pies at every market I went to and every single time they were as good as the last!
In addition to the wood fired pop up pizza, they also just opened up a permanent location outside of Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe serving New York style pies and slices! It’s the perfect spot to grab a slice then go inside and grab a beer with friends!
Josh, the owner, is the heart behind it all. He’s not only incredibly kind and accommodating, but he also makes everything from scratch— the dough, the sauce, the ranch, even the hot honey. You can taste the care in every single bite!!
He’s always coming up with fun, creative flavor combos too like buffalo chicken ranch, pickle pizza, vodka meatball, and somehow they’re all 10/10!! Whether you’re craving a classic margherita or something totally out-of-the-box, you’re going to walk away obsessed.

I have followed them to many pop-ups for their speciality pizzas! I love the BIANCA on their regular menu!

This food truck offers real Italian pizza but I wanted a little more mozzarella cheese with the incredible crust, awesome fresh basil And high quality tomatoes. No beverages here because Hawthorne Bottle Club does only beverages. So take the Hawthorne beverages to the food truck and bring your Cipollz Ross’s Pizza to the Hawthorne to enjoy together.

Ordered from here for my sisters wedding weekend welcome party! Communication was great to setup the order, payment was easy, and they delivered straight to the event. All my guests were raving about the pizza asking where it was from and my gluten free family members and friends said the GF pizza was actually good!!!! We will absolutely be back or use them again for a large order.

Amazing, fresh, authentic!! SO delicious! We ordered some slices, took one bite, and got back in line to order more. So fresh, so good, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. I had a chance to chat with the super friendly staff who told me about the owner and the quality of the truck and how much they enjoy working for him, which made me happy to support such a great truck, all around wonderful experience! 🙂

This place isn’t just my favorite pizza spot, it is now my second home and a weekly must. Josh is an phenomenal owner and an even better human. You taste the passion the man has in every single slice. If you want the best NY slice you’ve probably ever had THIS IS THE SPOT. And if you want suggestions for a specific slice the Buffalo chicken is out of this world. Also love my girl Ursula she is a bright light to that food truck. Love you guys!!!

We were hoping to be pleasantly surprised with a decent pizza that was made in a woodfire pizza oven, but were a bit disappointed to see the pizza come out of a gas pizza oven. Then they sprinkled the pizza with parmesan cheese, nothing we asked for nor wanted.
If they’d at least ask if people want parmesan on their pizza, it would make a difference, since the taste of the pizza wasn’t all that bad. The service was great, girl that took our order was super nice.
My recommendation to them is to at least claim its a gas fired pizza and ask customers if they want Parmesan – then the expectation can be adjusted accordingly. And invest into a real wood fire pizza oven! You will thank me later.

I love the pizza. It is delicious. However I had a bad experience…they gave my pizza to someone else..: I saw her walk into Hawthorne bottle shop… Open the box, sniff it happily, and she was about to grab a slice of the pizza when the guy came in took the box from her and then handed it to me. i’m sorry, but I don’t wanna eat pizza that you mistakenly gave to someone else especially when I see them already open the box… I don’t know what saliva drops went on that pizza. It was a turn off. 🙁
