Today was my second time here. We are a big group and the service has never wavered. Orders are on point and coffee/tea refilled throughout our time there. I had migas ala mexicana and it was delicious. I forgot to take a photo because I was ready to dig in. Don’t worry if the parking lot is full…they always have a seat for you!

This was my first time eating here & I must say I was extremely pleased. The food was amazing, the service was great. The waitresses are so kind & always have a smile. Since my first visit I’ve been 2 more times & nothing has changed. The atmosphere itself is pretty cool as well. It’s well spaced, lit, & the temperature is great!

There’s no room for flavor text in this review. It’s just a really, really good restaurant. Quality, traditional Mexican cuisine at a great value.
The rice and beans were flavorful, and the enchiladas verdes I ordered were quite good, but what I really appreciated about it was how distinct the verde sauce was.
And it’s interesting because I just tried an enchiladas verdes at a local restaurant, El Patron, and I didn’t like theirs; everything was just kind of muddled together in an oily mess. Eating the Enchiladas Verdes at Cinco de Mayo, I was thinking, “This is what they’re supposed to taste like; you can taste the individual flavor beats of the chicken and the tortilla, the cheese and sauce. They don’t overpower each other; they lift each other up.”
I thought my review on El Patron was harsh, but eating at Cinco de Mayo confirmed that there is better Mexican food out there and at a greater value, and it’s right here at Cinco de Mayo. Hot, fresh food that tastes like it came out of someone’s home kitchen. It’s comfort food, really.
Easy 5 Stars. Whatever you guys are doing there, please keep it up. This is a new regular spot for me!

I had the Lengua plate. It was very good. The beans are wonderful. Also the tortillas are perfect, nice white and fluffy. I really enjoyed my meal. Looking forward to trying different plates.

Food is slightly above average Mexican food in this town, terrible service. I had to ask for silverware for us. Our waitress refilled other tables drinks but not ours. I asked for no cheese and got cheese. I didn’t complain since we had waited a bit for food and they were busy, just picked it off. All of this is fine and tolerable since it was busy, I get it when mistakes happen during rush hour. None of this would have warranted a bad online review. However, I went up to pay and my waitress and her coworker rolled their eyes and ignored me. I left and let my husband pay and they waited on him. I used to be a waitress and can tolerate a lot and am always respectful and understanding. This is honestly the first time I’ve ever had truly bad and rude service in this town. I don’t understand why I was treated this way but I won’t be back as I didn’t feel welcome and the vibe was borderline hostile.
