The restaurant is nice and atmosphere walking in was nice by the person that seats you to your table. Our waiter was nice and friendly and checked in on us during our meal. I ordered the street fish tacos which was good which I give a 3 out of 5 stars could have been more seasoned and also more meat in the tacos. Over all I would come back I would just get the other fish tacos which option instead of the street tacos next I also didn’t like how rice and beans didn’t already come with it like most places if your not ordering individual tacos.

I can’t recommend Cinco de Mayo restaurant in Smyrna, Tennessee, highly enough! During the time my truck was in the shop next door at Rush Peterbilt, I found myself dining here multiple times, and each visit was a delight. The service was consistently top-notch, with friendly staff who made me feel welcome right away.
The food is absolutely amazing—every dish I tried was full of flavor and expertly prepared. I especially recommend the Pollo Fundido (Fun Chick), which was a standout with its deliciously rich flavors. The Huevos Rancheros were also fantastic, making for a perfect option that kept me coming back for more. The restaurant and the restrooms are super clean!
If you’re in the area, whether you’re waiting for repairs or just looking for a great meal, Cinco de Mayo is a must-visit! You won’t be disappointed.

Let me start by saying this has been my favorite Mexican Restaurant, probably of all time. There’s no doubt the food is consistently supreme. With that being said, the last 5 times I have eaten here, the service has really struggled. Whether the staff are having to take care of too many tables, or just plain slow, it’s been a very frustrating experience. As a former server, I can sympathize with individuals, but when it continuously happens, that’s a different story. It should not take 10 minutes to get a water and a Coca-Cola. I really want to give this place 5 stars but the service has got to improve.

Came for lunch today with my husband and the first thing I noticed was how clean this place was. The floors were shinning clean. The food was so good. The salsa and chips tasted fresh and the food was amazing. I ordered carne assada and my husband ordered the fajitas with cheese melt on top! Service was also great, everyone was very friendly! Not to mention the beautiful tiles they have displayed on the walls and the decorations they have around the restaurant, it is stunning beautiful! 10/10 recommend.

Overall it’s really a nice restaurant. The food was alright (in my personal opinion, it could have been seasoned a bit more). The drinks were nice and strong (and I really liked the glasses they came in). Our waiter was really nice and helpful, but I honestly don’t think he spoke much English (which made it funny, but kind of awkward order ). The restaurant itself is nice and open, has plenty of seating, and even on a weekend it wasn’t too crowded. Shoutout to the guy playing the violin providing the live entertainment!

The experience was great! We needed a place to eat as we were heading back to Atlanta, and Cinco De Mayo not only quickly got us in and fed but the food and service was very good, as well. If we ever find ourselves back in the area, we will be sure to stop back in.
