Burgers were decent, sides were tasty. Nothing really stood out about our visit. Prices were good, service was friendly. The restaurant was cute and had big floor to ceiling windows, but was easy to miss from the street, it was actually inside of a shared space with a coffee shop and some retailers. They offer gluten free buns/bread and a few vegetarian options. For a small town with few options this restaurant stood out.

We stopped in during our trip to Newport and while the overall experience was nice, there were a couple things that sort of caused a hitch in giving our time 5 stars.

Good food, service average. Whiskey Burger is good!

The literal best Ruben sandwich I’ve ever had. The hard cider selection was fairly decent, and certainly delicious. The service was awesome, and the menu full of fresh from farmer options. I’d highly recommend this place.

As they were bringing our meal they dropped a piece of fish on the floor, which really was the least of the problems during our dinner. They burned the bun on the burger, burned all the buns on the sliders, forgot to bring a salad that was ordered, the fried chicken was bland and the gravy was awful, and the fish and chips was overly greasy even for fried fish. On top of the food not being good, they tried to charge for adult portions of two items off the kid’s and then argued that we didn’t specify when I had actually pointed to the items on the menu when ordering. And finally, they charged us for two bottled sodas when they agreed we only had two. We pointed out their mistake and they continued to argue until we finally insisted they add up check and then they realized they did overcharge us. On a positive note, it was nice and quiet during dinner as we were the only people in the restaurant…

Burger was cooked perfectly but that was the only good thing, all food was SUPER bland and no flavor. I think the french fries were the best tasting part of the meal, anyways beer selection is so so. Service is ok and atmosphere is industrial and not inviting.

Amazing food and phenomenal service. Best crab cakes ever. The grilled cheese on homemade bread and tomato bisque were also delicious!

We meet once a month there for supper! Great beer, wine and cider selection. The food is great but a wee bit pricey. People working there are warm and friendly!! Great place!

I always stop here. Love the tomato bisque and grilled cheese with a pint of local draught on tap. Excellent service and a great market of local made Vt goods.
