The food here has zero flavor. There’s nothing “tex mex” about this place besides having queso on the menu (that was not very good btw). Ordered the chicken fried steak and it was disgusting. Took about 2 bites and couldn’t eat any more. Would NEVER recommend. Go to 18 Oaks or drive off!!!

The food was good but the service was very slow when we visited. The hotel and ambiance of the restaurant are beautiful especially during the holidays with the light show and Arctic Lodge

Both our burgers were cooked wrong. Three tries and they still couldn’t figure out how to make a well-done burger. Waitress said, cut into it and make sure it’s cooked and I’ll be right back. She didn’t come back for 10 minutes. It was still medium rare. Just a bunch of inexperienced cooks that don’t know how to use a meat thermometer. Thankfully they comped the burgers as they should have.

The first night I came here, it deserved 4 stars. Service was exceptional. Tried to go to 18 Oaks, party of 1, and was told they had no openings. Uh ok, for a party of 1??… Bye. Cruised over to Cibolo and was seated right away. Server was wonderful, I believe his name was Richard. There was also a pleasant manager walking around, I think his name was Ethan. All around impeccable service. Food was good, but not great. Biscuits with spicy strawberry jalapeno jam, delicious! Interesting tequila martini which was good. Mac n cheese was a little lackluster. Shrimp was a little overly salty and grits were a little bland, but together they were good. As a whole nice little hotel restaurant with nice views.

The service is phenomenal and our waiter, Leo, was the best! Super friendly and attentive! Their homemade buttermilk biscuits with strawberry jalapeno infused jam was savory! The Saturday buffet was worth every dollar-prime rib, salmon, ribs, etc. Their pastries were elegant and tasty!

The worst service at this resort. Don’t plan to get serviced immediately if you don’t get the buffet. If you order something , plan on it being bland. To start a simple Cesar salad lacked flavor. The Chips and guacamole did not have any salt or flavor. I considered driving out of the resort just to get a decent meal.

This was our first time trying this restaurant out and we are sure glad we did! Fortunately we happened to be here on a BBQ buffet night. There were so many options to choose from and an amazing dessert table. Kids also ate free with purchase of an adult buffet and they even had a separate kids buffet area with all the foods the little ones love. Service was friendly. The prices are a little high but what you’d expect for the quality of food you get.

Food and service was perfect. It was very busy but everyone working there made sure all kids had what they needed and wanted. All kids left with a huge smile.

My partner and I took my parents here for my dad’s 72nd birthday in 2016 before his massive brain hemorrhage. The J.W. Marriott has a grand entrance, a lot of parking, and a long walk through the resort. We enjoyed a nice walk through the lobby into the bar area and the holiday decorations. The presentation and placement was great. The scenery was wonderful. The food was exquisite, especially the prime rib and seafood. My dad loved to eat so he enjoyed a great meal along with my mom, partner and myself. He no longer eats by mouth so unfortunately he won’t get to taste it again – but we’ll forever cherish that memorable day. Everything was fresh and delectable and worth every penny. We even had some tasty mimosas. The ambiance was perfect for the holiday occasion. We even took cute Christmas pictures with Mr. & Mrs. Clause as well as ourselves in a cute setting. Definitely need to go back when we get the chance.

Nice restaurant at JW Marriott, we had breakfast and dinner here, this time the people were much more friendly, the food is good, you can have everything from the traditional breakfast to omelette, a large variety of pastries and fruits, overall a great experience.
