I rly want to like this place. I really do. Last 2 times I came they got my order wrong, and I wasn’t able to communicate what happened to the employees. Menu and ordering is also confusing because the only place their menu is is at the door, and last few times I went in no one was at the counter to take orders. Besides that, lunch special is a good deal but it’s mainly rice and beans but it’s fair for the price.

Cibao Restaurant is a Dominican restaurant located on Clinton Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. I visited Cibao Restaurant with a friend visiting the US from the DR and ordered the Dominican favorite Pollo Guisado con Moro. This dish is made with stewed chicken, black beans, and rice and served with fried plantains.

The Cuban sandwich was delicious. Also the beefstew was perfect for a cold December morning. We knew the place because it appears in an episode of “Billions”, and it was definitively worth it.
