My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Restaurant Ciao in Malmö! We were visiting from Germany for her birthday weekend, and after such a delightful evening on our first day, we simply had to return the next day. The service was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. And the food… oh, the food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. This restaurant truly made our special weekend even more memorable. Highly, highly recommend!

Two years ago, we ate at this place. My son called it the best pizza ever. Revisited this place a few days ago. They still make great pizza, and can make one to your taste, even though it is not on their menu. They are also super friendly.
I also can recommend the risotto.

We visited Malmö for a day trip and stopped by Ciao on a whim…and we’re so glad we did! Marco was our server, and he brought such a warm, welcoming energy to our experience. He made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first time there. He was genuinely friendly and even chatted with us about Hungary, since we’re Hungarians living in Denmark. The food was fantastic, and we’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in Malmö; Ciao is bookmarked as a favorite!

Delicious food, and everything was great. But what was even greater, was our waiter/the guy that took our order. Unfortunately no name tag, and I was too overwhelmed to ask for his name, or even take pictures of the food when it came. When the company I was in, almost sent me in a full anxiety attack, him and his kind words and way of being saved me, and therefore the whole experience. Oh, we sat outside, but inside looked so cosy and beautiful. In closing, thank you guy that served a young and an old couple at the table by the bar.

Just when we sat down, we got free water and an appetizer. Our servers were charismatic and funny. They were very flexible with changes in the pizza toppings. It didn’t even take them 5 minutes to serve our food and it was delicious. The place was beautiful.

…decided to have dinner at this Italian restaurant without reservation. It was really busy but we managed to get a table inside the restaurant (missing out the summer buzz outdoors)! Surprisingly, the interior was lovely and really cosy. We ordered 3 starters to share and given we weren’t big eaters I thought it was a good serving size. We are a party of 3 if I’d forgotten to mention it. Anyway, we devised to go with two main courses. And, really glad we did as the portion size was large. We had no room for desserts unfortunately. The presentation and plating were the best we have seen! Simply feasting with our eyes were satisfying. And of course the food tasted good. Despite how busy the restaurant was, we had a really good waiter who checked in on us and other guests . I’d wish I had noted his name. We had a good time.

The dough is soft and light. The pizza is tasteful and the service is nice.
I went on a summer evening and eated outside. But if you do so, eat fast so the food doesnt get cold! I will return, for sure!

Not sure why these bad reviews, but I can imagine not always a spot can meet all the demands.
Nevertheless, that is not the case here. After multiple time visiting, we were always warmly greeted, served in a reasonable time and had great food each visit. Menu is small, but it works, little bit of something for everyone. Only suggestion would be maybe to switch it up a bit, maybe rotate the menu or add some daily specials?
But definitely the highlight is caring and passionate staff who makes you feel at home, shoutout to Marko!
