We also ordered the cheesy bread, which turned out to be more like pizza without the cheese, so probably wouldn’t get that again. But between the two pizzas and the cheesy bread, our total was about $58 — definitely worth it for the quality and taste.
If you’re looking to try something new and unforgettable, the Dill Pickle Pizza is a must!
What I love about this place is their pizza dough. It’s very well-balanced. And the signature snake bite pizza is one of the best. You have to try it. The crew was very kind.
I was there around 7pm on Saturday. It was almost full table but the service flow was good. I didn’t have to wait much.
The pizza — We got The Big Cheesy and Hot Honey Summer. Both were on point with what the menu described. Almost no flop and the undercarriage was cooked a nice golden brown. Will definitely come back.
I ordered online and it was very easy to select what we wanted on the pizza and to leave an extra note emphasizing why dairy free was so important. The pizza was ready to go right when I got there. It was also pretty cool to see the two employees that were on shift look happy and like they were actually enjoying their job. Management must be doing something right. Great to see a local business in the area putting out a good product and taking care of their employees! Definitely worth giving them a try!
The kids pizzas are perfect size and include a tasty cookie or rice krispy.
I ordered the snake bite and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and texture.
Super family friendly. They had activity sheets, crayons, and plain paper for the kids to draw and be creative.
Highly recommend. Will return again!
Our first visit to the new location in OV was on a Sunday afternoon was rough. There were a few people seated and a couple of others for take out. We ordered and expected a 15-20 min wait to be served. Our wait turned out to be 40 minutes with no explanation until we asked the person at the counter, who offered a simple “we got busy”.
Our second experience was when we ordered six pizzas for takeout. Because it was a large order and online ordering was not offered at that time, my wife visited the OV store earlier in the day and placed the order. paid for it and was assured it would be ready by 5:15PM as requested. When i arrived to pick up the six pizzas at 5:15PM, the pizzas had not even been started. The explanation was “sorry but we got slammed”. Since we were hosting a neighborhood get together, I had no option but to wait what turned out to be an additional 30 minutes for my order.
Today, we ordered online and received an email confirmation that our order would be ready at 5:26 PM. When i arrived the pizzas were nowhere to be found. The young man working the counter (who was there for each of the visits described above) couldn’t find my order. He conferred with another young man who was making pizzas who came to the counter and explained while I had ordered correctly and paid for the order, my order somehow did not “transfer” to the system that is used to tell them which pizzas need to be prepared.
My wife and I are really trying to give Ciao Down in OV a chance but after three consecutive disasters, I don’t know if we have it in us to continue. The food is great!! The owner is working hard to make his business work. Something is wrong with the operation of this store.
I am sorry to leave such a negative review and I sincerely hope that the OV location’s service and operation is improved.
