Danny and Michaela are the absolute BEST! They made everything so easy on our end and were happy to help serve over 100 people and clean up—even leaving leftovers! Chuy’s is my husband and I’s go-to restaurant (we had our first date here!), so having them cater our middle school volleyball banquet was an easy decision. Highly recommend!

First time at this location . Had been to the one on Nicholasville road before ….
To be honest the food tasted better at the other restaurant ….Don’t get me wrong , it was still good , just preferred the other location.
Had the exact same thing , chicken fajitas .
Service was great , atmosphere was great and the frozen margarita was good as well .
Will definitely return !

Food was good. Chips and salsa were the highlight. Small menu, which is good. Skylar was amazing. Extremely friendly and nice. As my wife said a chill demeanor. Made us feel special being first time there. Rest of the staff was also very welcoming. Restaurant all together had a good atmosphere.

The food was pretty good, it just didn’t stand out to me. The menu is limited, but I really liked the atmosphere, especially the retro table and chairs. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Give it a try, because the place was packed.

Ordered quesadillas which I thought were just cheese quesadillas because the menu says “quesadillas” and below that it says comes with cheese, but what I received was chicken tacos. The item even has a “V” next to it which means vegetarian.

If I wanted chicken tacos, I would have ordered chicken tacos.

The menu does not specify chicken in the quesadillas. In fact – below where it says “quesadillas” in the appetizers, below that it says add chicken (for like $2 more).

So I got something that I didn’t even order and I got charged more for it. I’m not the type that likes to “waste food,” so I just kept it and ate it.

After paying and before leaving – I mentioned to the waitress that I ordered quesadillas but I got tacos, and she said “that’s just how they make them here.”

Why put “quesadillas” on the menu if they are just tacos???

My mom said our waitress wasn’t friendly. It would have been nice if she told me beforehand that the quesadillas are just tacos and asked me if I wanted to add chicken to them.

So from this, I’m leaving a 1 star review here and I probably won’t go back to Chuy’s for while. I told my mom before we left that I was just disappointed with eating here today. Our previous lunch times here have been good, but today was not good.

Please please please come to the twin cities! Minnesota would appreciate you. Came here with 5 others and had a wait but it was the Saturday after Christmas. Place was poppin! Super affordable and delightful. The creamy jalapeno sauce is mild like a zesty ranch, the salsa was divine, wish I had asked for a to go container of just that. Mild spicy but chinky and delicious. Boom boom sauce was warm and comforting like a good hug. Decor was delightful and whimsical

Chuy’s, always dependable. No matter where I go in the USA I can always count on you for the same wonderful experience. I always get the Elvis Presley Memorial combo. I can feed my family cheaper here than I can at McDonald’s anymore. Not kidding. Two minor points of improvement I suggest:

1. Ensure the hosts check that the people standing at the entrance are seated in the order they arrive. Sometimes I have been overlooked by someone who came in after me.

2. Sometimes I am given a diet coke when I ask for a regular.

These two issues happen infrequently.

Update 3.7.2025: The last few times we have went in person we have had quick and friendly service. I was VERY happy to see that they had added the Green Chili Rice back on the menu. They had a similar rice pre covid but it was removed from the menu. I am not a fan of their Mexican rice so I usually got double beans. I tried the Green Chili Rice last time and it was delicious.

Update 6.4.2024: We have went to this restaurant quiet a few times since my last review. The best way I can describe it is Jekyll and Hyde. If you go inside the service is usually quick and friendly. On the flip size, literally the last four times we got pick up we have had issues. For example, today we ordered ahead and the food was supposed to be ready at 6:26 and we arrived around that time. We waited as other cars came and went. Finally, at 6:45pm my husband went in to get the food. He waited an additional five minutes before receiving the food. We live about five minutes from this restaurant and when we got home we had to microwave the food because it was cold.

Update: I heard that the location was under new management so we have went back a few times and we haven’t experiences any of the issues that I previously stated. The food is always delicious and comes out super quick. However, the service is sometimes spotty.

Previous Post: When I heard that Chuy’s was coming to Hamburg I was excited because we live in the area. We frequent the Chuy’s on Nicholasville road so this location was much more convenient. However, I have been three times and every time has been awful. The first time we went we were able to get a seat at the bar so we didn’t have to wait an hour to be seated. It’s a new restaurant so the wait times are still high. When I received my food there was a hair in it. When I showed the waitress/bartender she took it over to the manager. He happened to be standing at the end of the bar. When she told him he looked like he just shrugged it off. He did not come over and acknowledge what had happened or apologize. He just continued watched a game that was on one of the bar TV’s.

The second time we called the order in so we didn’t have to wait. They said the wait was about 40minutes for curbside. My boyfriend had called the order in and pickup it up. We had ordered cheese and we had to microwave it because it had already thickened. Also, when I bit into my enchilada it was cold. Not warm, cold like they hadn’t heated up the chicken. I microwaved it and even after a minute and a half the chicken just reached room temp.

With the other two experiences I was hesitant to go back but we love the other location so much I thought I would give it one more shot. I ordered online and set the pickup time as 5:15pm. When I got there around 5:10pm I didn’t expect anyone to come out right away as my pickup time was 5:15pm. However, I ended up having to get out of my car when the time hit 5:25pm and went and asked a waiter if I was supposed to go inside. I had been sitting there for 15 minutes as multiple waiters/waitresses had passed by and had not been acknowledged once. The manager had also passed by twice. The waiter said I was supposed to call and tell them I was there. Nowhere in my email confirmation did it say I needed to call when I arrived and the sign for curbside had their phone number but also did not say anything about calling. I called and told them I had been waiting and she said that they do not check the curbside spots regularly. I finally received my food, which I had to microwave.

Routinely underwhelming over my last 5-6 visits. I used to really enjoy the menu and atmosphere but the quality for the price no longer competes with local Mexican restaurants. They dramatically cut down on menu options since Covid and items like the à la carte “dinner taco” that used to be offered are now off menu and $6.50 of you ask – that’s one taco guys, be serious.

Everything was great! I had the ground beef burrito, and it was so good. It was too spicy for my kids and wife, so be careful if you have low spice tolerance.
